No texture/sprite is larger than 8x8 pixel. I've been using the 9-patch method in unity for larger UI-elements. The large circles are drawn programatically.

A great game, with a perfect use of the limitation! I wish you will drop this limitation after the jam and turn it into a small commercial game!

I'm very captivated by this unique mechanism! The game is challenging but very fun to try clear each levels! I love its simple style and the idea matches the theme very well.

Excellent stuff! :D

This is visually quite charming, making excellent use of the limitation, and taking to the next level with light post-processing. The concept is solid, hampered only by the controls. Click-and-drag would be the ideal solution here, but also having critters not get in the way of object selection would be a huge quality of life improvement.

All things considered though, a  great game! Good work, and good luck! :D

Thanks for the feedback! Looks like the controls are a common complaint, so I've uploaded a postjam version with fixes for it ;)

Although in cases where there are a bunch of critters around an object they can somewhat get in the way, but the drag-and-drop controls are soooo much better that you hardly notice it. Huge improvement! Great work :D

The idea is so cool! The game looks so amazing BUT a srag and drop mechanic would have been so nice! This is such an awesome idea.. please continue this project after the jam :)

This was a really interesting idea -was convoluted in a fun way -the graphics were nice too!  Really liked this -awesome work! :D

I liked how you made your game look but I found the current control scheme and how slow everyone moved imo a bit too frustrating to finish the game.

Cat Herder is a very unique idea that I think strongly benefis from the theme. However, I felt that the gameplay was far too tedious. Click-and-click was not a fun experience at all. I would've much preferred click-and-drag controls. I feel this idea has potential but the Developer really needs to make this game less tedious. I still enjoyed the experience but it was greatly ruined by the lack of control.

Thanks for the feedback! I will try to improve the controls after the jam ;)

Great game! The concept is amazing, the art and sound are cute, and the music fits well. It was so fun having that little army of cats. As a suggestion, I think moving the objects would work better with drag and drop controls.

Good job, keep it up!

I liked the game, the visuals and music were great but the movement  was a bit annoying

The game is pretty neat, I found the click and click controls didn't feel nice drag and drop might have felt better.

Good design and graphics, could use maybe a few more challenging levels in the later stages to smooth out the difficulty curve instead of just jumping from fairly easy to nearly impossible as it currently does.

Amazing idea with lots of potential for new items and levels. I really liked how alive the cats felt. However the controls need a bit of work as selecting items is really hard when something obscures them.

Awesome entry, great use of the restriction to make adorable cats and a good tile set for the floor. The mechanic is really cool and it was fun to herd the cats however the game felt mostly like just picking up and dropping constantly. that might be why I couldn't beat level 12 tho. I think the game could use drag and drop controls, the current controls get cumbersome when doing things fast.

That all said, fantastic entry, it was adorable and fun. Great combo

This is such a good game with amazing graphics, animations, and sounds! I really like how responsive the baiting system feels in the game, and the little cat sprites nearly seem alive at times. Great game 9/10!
