Use of the limitation
You have to roll the dice to change your flashlight battery and weapo. The catch is that the new weapon isn't always better and the new flashlight battery doesn't have to last longer.

Cookies eaten
Easier to count how many are left

How was your experience with Mini Jam?
It was quite fun, wouldn't really change anything

Nice game with good ambiance! Keep it up!

I really like the atmosphere. Great lighting and sound design. It's very hard to execute, but satisfying to explode monsters into colorful bits. Nice work!

Game plays very good, but that mob is pain

Graphics looked fantastic, the atmosphere made me fear the monsters. I don't know what caused the monsters to aggro however, and the dice felt like it was an afterthought.

Developer

Thanks for feedback! The monsters aggro at random and the chance depends on your current ammo count. I wanted to make them unpredictable to require a quick reaction, making encounters more stressful and scary. The dice mechanic was there since the prototype, but I was struggling to make it feel meaningful and not too intrusive.

Wow congrats! I loved the game and the overall atmosphere. Art was great, animations too, everything was on point! Maybe 2 things I'd change would be that the flashlight's directions matches that of the player (if moving right the light will be on right and same with left up and down) and the second thing is that of the game maybe being too difficult to survive (would be compensated by giving player a direction as to where next light is or something.: Congrats!

Developer

Thanks for feedback! I'll try to lower the difficulty in my free time, then add a link for the new version. About the flashlight direction, I tried something like that at first, but changed it to as it is now. It feels better to me, but looks like it's a matter of taste. As for the direction to where the next light is, there is a path on the ground that leads through all the lamps all the way to the saloon. If you couldn't see it, you can increase the brightness in the settings. Cheers!

The atmosphere and dice mechanic was very nice, but it felt too difficult to stay alive. It seemed like the monsters just came at me super fast without warning or time to react and spamming the flashlight drained it too fast.

Developer

I see, I'll try to make it more managable and add a separate download. Thanks for feedback
