Looove the music and pixel art! It really made me excited to play and the challenging gameplay kept me playing for a while! Amazing work!
Amazing pixel art and animation!
Yeah I agree with @Abner Squared, very solid game
Played on stream here: https://www.twitch.tv/asfunasfun
Some ideas: Highlight the ladder at the end. Include some text about using a controller, I found it easier then keyboard and mouse.
Good work!
Not bad!
Goes to show the time you've spent on the mechanics for this game, as it is pretty solid all-around.
What did you do to Rude Buster
Just looked up what you meant. Thanks for pointing that out I had no idea. As said on the game page I used pre made art and sound as I was doing this solo and wanted to concentrate on the gameplay / code.
I'll get this replaced in the next version as it was clearly stolen and slight changes made.
I love the art in this game. I would have given the slimes a little more oomph when you kill them. Great game though.
The game looks great and plays well. Nice ideas here though going long distances in a level trying to find enemies can be frustrating. The wind up animations before an enemy attacks feels a little too similiar to their idle animation, thus making it a little hard to tell if they'll attack or not. The dichotomy of having to choose between using slimes to increase your slime guage or save them for upgrades is a nice idea, though I felt that the time between reductions in the guage were a little too fast. It's still a nice entry though
Nice first project, nice visuals and soundtrack.
Would have liked the player attacks to happen instantly rather then on windup or atleast prevent me from moving direction because I ended up missing a bunch due to that.
Overall for the time, really nice.
This is your first game jam project? This is really impressive. You really made all of these assets come together in a very cohesive and convincing way. Gameplay is very smooth, and I found myself really enjoying the experience.
I did find myself losing track of where I've been, but I'm not sure if a minimap would help or hurt the project, since I did find myself having to pay close attention. I was also pleasantly surprised by the upgrade system (though I totally neglected the soul bar until I hit a sudden game over haha).
Well done!
The animations are very fluid! Very pleasant to play and the limitation is implemented. Nice job!

Nice use of the tileset, the concept is awesome and the game is quite addicting, slaying slimes feels good enough to go through several rooms without finding it boring,. One small detail i could nitpick is that the lifepoints are hard to see, would be nicer to see a lifebar or hearts like in the legend of zelda
All in all nice entry!
I like the visual of the game and the idea is also very original!
The art and the scenarios are awesome. You should take car of details like the fonts. They don’t match the the game type.
