This is a pretty good game! Nice enemy variety, a simple decision after each round, and really decent controls.
My only complaint is that the jumping mechanic felt very awkward to get down when I first started.
Nicely done!

Nice variety of enemy types!
Wow, this is really impressive! It feels like an old arcade game, especially with the simple gameplay and controls. However, the tilted perspective gives it a really interesting visual touch.
The enemy designs also add a layer of puzzle solving, where you have to discover the enemy's weakness to safely damage them. Credit to the art for making many of them intuitive to figure out at a glance, like the shield-bearers, who I immediately figured to attack from the back (even if I completely failed in my attempt).
The after-level choice of health or points also adds a nice sense of progression, since player's are rewarded for surviving the challenge, but it also forces them to balance safety with greed - or get good enough to only need points, which is definitely the optimal strategy.
I like it! I think a lot of good was done here. Great work!
I won with the score of 852! It's so much fun! Those gargoyle enemies are so strong they killed me quite a lot! The gameplay and the fast paced action kept me playing multiple times! It's definitely a fun game! Great job!
Cool game reminds me a bit of Divekick.
A good entry, the art style rocks I like it :) As mentionned the controls are difficult to apprehend. Otherwise it's a enjoyable lil' game, congrats!
Fun game, though I found the controls a bit difficult, and it was pretty hard to hit the enemies from above. Overall though, I liked the game and it's simplicity.
Interesting game with solid mechanics. The controls take a while to get used to but a good game nonetheless.
Fun game, I enjoyed it. The art was great as well. Just wish the controls were a bit easier, it's really hard to get used to the current ones.
I really like the direction of the graphics in the game. As many people have said, the controls are a bit clunky (maybe set the directions to arrow keys or WASD instead) but I overall enjoyed the game!
Great concept, I did get frustrated with the controls but that might be by design, some of the hitboxes were janky at times, might have been bad luck.
Overall great game , love the visuals, sound design is great.
I found the controls counter-intuitive, but the core idea is so solid and I love how the baddies exploit the different parts of the combat system - very clever design for the enemies.
I wish the controls had been tighter, because this is very skill testing and I don't like having the option to blame the controls instead of my skill :)
Also the powerup selection was a little frustrating. I'd hop on an archer and they'd be the last enemy in the wave and instead of getting the health I'd desperately need I'd get +100 points. I like how you tried to integrate the power-up selection into the primary game loop, but I didn't like when I accidently didn't get what I wanted.
Overall cool concept that feels like the core of a good, fun, arcade game.
Fun game! The art is visually pleasing, & I like how some enemies need to be hit with the trident sideways, while others need to be hit downwards.
My only complaint is that the movement is a bit clunky in my opinion, only being able to change your direction makes moving around more frustrating than skillful. Maybe having a WASD layout could benefit the game?
Anyway, good job!
Woah this is a really funny prototype! I can really see this idea being applied in a full featured game. Mechanics are simple to explain but hard to master, cheers!
The game is very neat and has a cool visual style. Very simple to pick up but is hard to keep going, which I like. I also appreciate the enemy variation in a jam of this length.
Nice concept! the controls are a bit unintuitive though, if you push both jump keys at the same time you can fly, However the art is really nice, the color palette is just sick, saw this game image and had to click XD, it was fun, i always pick the extra health powerup btw
amazing idea, it's quite hard and I like it!
The game looks good, the 2.5d aspect is really cool and it's really entertaining, but I also need to point out that the controls take some time to get familiar with.
The enemy with the spiky shield got me many deaths and the enemies with the spikes over their head were sometimes hard to doge.
I nearly didn't come to the end, but gotta say it was fun :)
Enjoyed the challenge of this game. Very simple, I would echo what Zomare said about the buttons taking some getting used to though.
It took me a couple of attempts to figure out you shouldn't jump on the spikey guys, and at one point I automatically picked up an upgrade since the last enemy was at the edge of the screen.
Beat the game with 728 points :D Thank you for sharing.
Simple and looks good, really like the 2.5d aspect.
My main gripe with it is the keybinds: Why c and k? They are so far apart and unintuitive, thus making it really hard to get into it.
Besides it's alright
