I tried many times but the rotation is a bit hardcore IMO :p I would've liked to have a bit more of control :) Congrats for you entry btw!
definitely polarizing controls! They have a learnin curve, thank you n thanks for trying it out.
Slippery as f ;D
Fun! Didn't manage to get past 3k.
Good job!
Thnks for playing and thts pretty good score. ah some of the UI looks off. I think in full screen it would look normal :)
I suck at this game, but it's incredible amounts of fun. The slippery physics and movement were tweaked just right for a great experience. If I have to nitpick (and I do), I'd have liked for the ice to have a cleaner, more flat-shaded look similar to the 3d models.
Thanks for trying it out! Glad it was enjoyable :) I could see that
The idea is really neat, and it looks nice. I struggled a lot with the controls, but I guess it's part of the game x)
I also love penguins and I was about to make my game like this, haha. I like how you presented it, maybe I would add satisfactory feedback when you catch a fish or more slippery effects? Otherwise nice game!
Thanks for playing! There is feedback when you catch the BIG ones, I should have added more throughout though you right
fun gameplay
Great job! I loved the concept and it was super fun :)
Love the music, love the mechanics, love the difficulty, all around a great game!
Damn dude! Love the models and the original idea so much. I still have the music running in the other tab because hot fuck, that's some tasty jam.
5 stars all-round from me.
Cute game, with lovely graphics and decent sound. There are not a lot of assets, but everything looks nice, from the fish to the player to the ice itself.
I must say, though, that I'm not a big fan of the Resident Evil tank controls. That said... I can understand how they make sense thematically, given that you're playing a very awkward bird that's sliding on ice.
Also, I got an error when I tried to play this in full screen, so I player in the smaller window, and kept sliding out of bounds.
Thanks for playing, glad you liked it. Yeah the controls are polarizing hah. Thats strange you got an error, may I ask what browser did you play it from?
I am using Firefox 96.0.3.
this was fun, and I really like the movement on ice and the "skating" animation,
glad you liked it thanks for playing :)
Oh this is cool. Probably my favorite submission so far. The movement is wacky and I love it.
I could see this being loads of fun multiplayer in a Mario Party kind of way, bumping into each other and what not.
Great work.
excellent graphics
Thank you :)
Reminded me of some very frustrating Mario Party mini games--thats a compliment. The controller made this game difficult in the best way. Well done!
Thank you for playing and the feedback, I appreciate the kind words :)
Well done!
NICE penguin
Fun and a little addicting ;) maybe the rotation could be a little less sensitive? Loved the music
Thanks for playing! and It might be higher than expected. It works as intended on my devices but maybe its faster on others.
I managed to get 1750 points. I enjoyed the funky soundtrack and the overall premise of the game! Fine tuning ice movement is no easy task, it tends to feel frustrating very quickly for the player - this wasn't the case for me with Slip 'n Fish. Movement would only need some minor tweaks in my opinion. Well done!
Thanks for playing and the feedback! I'm glad the movements weren't that difficult for you. I was so used to them I was not sure how the learning curve would be for new players
My high-score was 1250. Overall a good submission. It could just be me but the turning felt a little too fast to where I never really felt in control. Maybe that was your intention for it to be really hard but personally I think I would've enjoyed it even more with more handling and possible randomly spawned holes or something in the ice to weave around. Just my opinion though and nevertheless rated 5/5.
I was having some issues with the turning speed. It was fast then it turned slow hmmm for the devices I tested in on it was running as intended like somewhere in the middle. Ill have to try more devices. The controls are designed similar to how a space game would be where you move forward and rotate to turn / change direction. I became so used to it but I think more stable handling would be more enjoyable to start for sure. Thanks for playing!
Was this a 2D or 3D game? It felt like it could be fun with multiple players.
It was a 3d game but after you mentioned that it did appear 2d as well hah. It could be a fun mini player game! see who gets the most fish pretty much like for a party game
