WOW. That was a real treat! Nicely done! Hard to say what I liked the most. The simple graphics are actually really beatiful. I liked how everything was kind of cryptic. Lot's of stuff to explore. At first I thought I had to complain about the movement speed. But as soon as I thought of that I found the speed upgrade :D The atmosphere was also really really good. And the animations of that monster at the end? Really awesome! This might actually be my favorite game of the jam so far. Normally I would post a few things that could be improved but I can't find something on this entry. The only complaint would be that it should be expanded into a full game. Really awesome job!
I love all the cute little characters you can find! Great job on the polish and fancy effects. The world feels surprisingly large.
Oh! And I really appreciate how you can jump a moment after leaving a platform. Realllly helps the game feel.
Love how much love was put in the atmosphere and effects.
The music choice is great too!
Only issue was the controls^^
Thanks for making this!
The visual effects are really great. The story is ok. Controls could be a bit better. I had a good time playing the game. Good job! :)
Loved the ambience and the level design, It really makes you want to keep exploring.
This is certainly visually so appealing!!! I wanted to achieve something like this for my game, but yours looks SO awesome!
The storyline was a little hard for me to grasp, but overall felt deep. I only collected 3 memories tho.. didn't know how to get to that sleeping mouse.
I really enjoyed it! Thanks for making such a wonderful game.
Particles. Particles everywhere. And judicious use of shadowcasters. Basically just burn all your jam time doing level polish and fail to adequately tune the basics like player movement and you too can have a pretty game! lol
Thank you for the kind comments.
i love the characters and dialogue and actually felt sad when i came back to them gone, but the jumps to certain platforms could use a little more leeway.
I enjoyed the story telling here. The level design felt really nice to. I like the way the areas were interconnected, and it helped to navigate it. The particles for the player were really nice too. I did have a problem controlling my movement once I got the speed boost though. Overall it was a really nice experience.
I was watching your stream as you played and cringing so bad over making those platforms so narrow when you kept missing them. I kept thinking to myself "please don't quit, please don't quit." That experience was as instructive as it was difficult. I think you were more than kind with your words, thank you for the feedback.
Nice game! I got the good ending.
The atmosphere and details of the game were really nice, it felt like a lived in world because of the lighting, music changes and characters dying as you progressed. I appreciated the movement upgrades which rewarded exploration. My only complaint was that the jump height was very inconsistent. Other than that, beautiful, well put-together game!
I really enjoyed the esthetic music the story of each person i encounter... really cool game
The background music is amazing really elevates the game to another level and the trail effect with all the particles as well as the Lighting are also incredible. Overall really good entry and well done.
I love this game. I suck at 2D platformers so take this with a grain of salt but I think the speed boost makes mid-air control a bit hard to judge. I found myself slipping off platforms frequently.
HOWEVER, I love the world you built. It reminds me of Hollow Knight. The memories are a great touch. Alas, poor Cuddles.
It could use some coyote jump and platforms could use more friction. I loved the trail effect .
I didn't have time to play with the platform friction, but I got a rudimentary coyote jump in. Several people had suggested it and your comment kinda pushed it over the edge for being a priority addition. Thank you for the feedback!
No problem ;)
Controls could use some work, but the ambiance was great! I really loved the BGM transitions per zone!
Loved the ambiance and the particles effects.
I believe being able to stop jump midair would add a lot more control to the character.
Thanks for the feedback! Can you clarify what you mean? Like holding the button for less time results in a shorter jump, or something else?
yes
Nice graphic and effects! Especially the great use of dark global light and points light to create a dungeons-like feel. Also the soundtrack is addictive to listen to. Definitely love it.
The only thing I can complaint is the control. As a platformer the control feels a little bit slippy, not very friendly when I wanted to control the character precisely to land on small platforms.
I am also in the jam and will upload soon. Looking forward for ur feedback on my game!
