Many multiplayer games don't have this feature in the jam, and that is AI for singleplayer, it was pretty accurate. In fact on my first try I lost to the AI :o Anyways, great job!

Great idea, brilliant level design and smooth gameplay!

Would have liked to use arrow keys when playing single-player but that's just a personal preference :)

I just loved it!!! so much content for a solid and well done mechanic! Good job!

Holy crap how is this so good? What a solid core mechanic! And the AI was surprisingly good!

Great! Liked the minimal visuals and colors. Gameplay was simple but effective. Well done.

Wow this game surely deserves the 15/15, amazing game

Omg so fun.The enemy ai was very simple yet very well made. The UI was suiting as well.I loved trying out new strats like maxing out my strength to kill enemies or maxing out my speed to become flash and save every goal. Things I would do:

1) Make ball slower at start and keep increasing speed until a goal is scored and that will reset the speed.

2)Instead of bouncing the ball off the player give a little knockback a whiteflash and stop the ball for that time. This will act as a grace period after taking damage.

This game is fantastic! It's a criminal injustice that it has so few ratings. I really liked the level design, it's clear some thought went into each one and they all felt very balanced. The AI didn't feel stupid, which was nice to see in a game like this! I didn't manage to get very far in the singleplayer, but the time I was playing for felt like something I would pay for. The gameplay is great - I love that if you fail to score any goals, you can just try to kill your opponent instead!

Good game!

This was so polished! The character skills, and the weapon stats were balanced and made each match feel pretty different. The difficulty curve was a challenge at first, but after several matches I was having so much fun. My friends called it "RPG Air Hockey"! Haha! I'm pretty terrible at real air hockey.

And I thought the two ways to win was so smart. It really elevated it from a traditional game of air hockey to a grudge match.

If I had any feedback (and I'm struggling to find some, because everything felt so great), I did get "stuck" on a corner one or two times.

Thanks for playing the game and your kind words.

Wow this is a complete game. Different arenas and "weapons", multiplayer, upgrades... I was really engaged playing it, and even made a few runs to test different "builds" (and IMO agility is king, haha).

I love that you can win both by score or by killing the opponent. This is a simple feature that adds a whole new layer of strategy and makes it possible to reverse matches where the score difference is already too large to catch up.

Art assests were used really creatively. Polish was also great, although balance seemed I little random and could be tweaked to be more gradual.

Outstanding work, congrats!

Thank you for playing the game and the detailed feedback.

This was very fun but also very hard. I think it's mostly a balancing question and the controls didn't feel as precise as I would have wanted. Have you tried mouse controls for the player?

Developer

Thanks for playing. I actually had mouse control in the beginning and decided to move to auto target to make it simpler.

I meant player movement not targeting. Was a little tired when I wrote it. I remember an old game I think it was called "Blobby Volley" where two gummy things played volleyball against each other. The control scheme was them following the mouse and jumping on click.

We played that a lot as filler when it came out (just googled, God I'm getting old). The overall feel of your game reminded me of it so I compared them mentally and thought, that the mouse control felt more precise given the overall pace of the game. Would make couch multiplayer hard though

Cool game idea, I like the idea of the upgrades and weapons. I think it would be nice if you could save progress so you didn't have to restart if you died. The gameplay was really fun too!

Fun idea, but sort of hard. Also the second enemy one shotted me which felt bad :(

Really fun concept !
