Nice submission! Like the idea of the game, but it could use some polish. Most of the time i didnt have the right weapons to attack the enemies so i ran by them. To be honest, i dont know right away how to fix this problem. A bit more direction after the starting area would be nice. 

But otherwise a nice little game!

I'm sad you feel that way about the polishing. I tried to make it as polished as possible in the time I had. What kind of polish did you miss?

I will add little bit more direction after the starting area when the jam is over.

Some of the problems you name are part of the game design. I wanted to give the player the feeling that where were many ways to play the game and that your way wasn't necessary the best or the worse way but was the way that you found. I hope that gives a little bit of more perspective.

Well there are little bonfires that work as checkpoints.

But you are not the first that missed it.

it was nice to play something fast paced. I liked the death animations and splatters left behind and how you had to act quick on your feet with choosing the weapons for the right situation. Maybe I'm just really bad at it but found once I got to the first checkpoint the difficulty ramped up, I don't know if it's because I didn't respawn with previous weapons or again, I'm just terrible. All in all though I enjoyed it!

Very well made and engaging game! The enemy 'ai' often gets stuck in doors or just runs into walls / stop following completely (some of these behaviours may have been intended - I don't know). It was also hard, but that just added to the engagement for me. But it's still a pretty good game!

Very fun game to play^^

An issue was that the game lacks in checkpoints.

I think the game can benefit massively from this.

cool mechanic where you need to use the right stuff for the right ennemies
didn't followed the tutorial i was just looking at the ennemy's color to see if i got it right most of the time^^.

Really cool death effect!

Yea i understand it crawler... but i dont like that death means  whole restart (without re-randomize the dungeon). 

Anyway ur combat mechanics are very clever, so good work!

There are bonfires that work as checkpoints. If you lit one you will respawn there instead of starting from the beginning.

Very clever twist on RPS! Often, though, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to search for the right weapon or just cleverly kite the enemies and speed around to avoid them. Either way, this was a lot of fun to play!

Very neat little game, love the RPS style of combat/puzzle like game I did find that sometimes I would get stuck on the doorways which was a bit annoying but the checkpoints are nice.

Wow in this game dying felt satisfactory as well.The screen shake and limbs flying around was perfect. Very nice execution.

oh there is wow sorry, now i played it with checkpoints i was hoping if my weapon respawned with me since i continue empty handed most the time

hmmm... spawning without a weapon and not being able to find one is kind of a problem.
I might add some thing to the game to fix that. But that has to wait until the jam is over.
(spawning with your weapon would be a easy solution but I have to test that.)

It's a really really nice idea, and the amount of content you managed to put into the game is staggering. My only grievances are that the step sound is a bit irritating on the long run, and I never found out how to throw fireballs. Keep up the good work!

I really enjoyed this game. Admittedly I wasn't familiar with the concept of "rock paper scissors" when I started playing so it took me a second to figure out how it worked. Once I did, it was a challenging (but rewarding) game. Agree the death animation was cool and the level design is very intelligent, though I also tended to sprint to the next room if I couldn't figure out a solution. Got a souls-like bleakness from it, for some reason. But in a good way. 

I haven't beaten it yet but I feel determined so I will return : ).

Whether I try the installer or the exe, I get this error:

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

I edited my first post (I pasted a picture of the error there but for some reason it doesn't display, so I just wrote down the error).

That must be a problem with the save system that keeps track of your unlocks.
I made a version without. It's exactly the same except that It wont save anything on your pc.

Nice game! I liked the expansive world and the death animations were really really well done, kudos! It made the weapons feel good to use. The issue I have with this game is that I have a hard time remembering which weapon is good against which so I charge into my death a lot. The rock paper scissors design is cool but feels bad when you get one hit for having the wrong weapon, especially if there's multiple types of enemies in a room. I ended up just running past most enemies. The walking sound got a little grating too. But overall well done, the game felt really satisfying to play because of the animations and expansive world!
