I liked the game, but I agree with the previous commenter - it lacks scoring system or upgrade system. Right now it's just fun to ride and shoot enemies. But there is no puprpose. Play it 2 or 3 minutes - you don't know how to tell how far apart you are. Maybe adding just a timer with seconds elapsed would make a big difference in the feel of the game,

P.S. The best thing I liked in the game is the bmbmbmbmbmbm sound of the gun :)

Hello! I updated the game to have a highscore now only had the time to do so recently :D

Edit: I planned on adding a muzzle flash and cam shake but they werent cooperating so needs some more time on that :")

Cool to see another game that did something with a minecart like me and a few others, this one was really cool with a simple yet fun premise , and as others mentioned a score would be work great for this, anyways, great job!

Developer

Great minds think a like ;) thank you for playing!

Solid smooth gameplay, fun perspective. The shooting seemed to be a little off, might have just been the projectile speed though.

A really nice game and the hoping between the tracks felt very smooth.

A score indicator once you have died would be nice as some kind of a progress tracker but other than that this game felt really clean and polished. nice job!

Just added the highscore hope u like it :D

Reminded me of Wario’s gold mine 😁 a nice, polished little game - good work!

Really nice looking game, a good foundation for more stuff if you decided to expand on it! I think a health bar, score and some pickups would really make it great.

Developer

Heyo! Initially I planned on adding a sheild power up that would protect you from a hit didnt have the time and I think theres more potential in this game thank you for playing :D

I love the combination of a lane changing game with an fps! Really well thought  out! Good job!
It could be evolved with extra time now that the gamejam is over! Polishing over things, making it more roguelike with upgrades etc and stuff like that! Great entry! Very inspiring!
PS: Mine carts also have a special place in my heart since Donkey Kong Country ^^

I like the perspective. It looks unique even among other 3d games from this jam.

Score system would be nice to know how well I'm doing.

Also, not sure if it's just me, but the cursor moves very fast. I have 1200-1500 dpi mouse, which is quite a lot, but in your game it moves much faster than in any other FPS. Sometimes it's hard to aim like this.

Great work, keep it up!

Hello! Thank you for playing, the mouse sensitivity usually like that when building webgl games atleast thats what i noticed for the score system it didnt cooperate in time so i had to cut it but after this jam I will be working on it :D

Nice game with well suited sounds and polish. I wasn't really encouraged to switch rails though. I was mostly focused on the abundance of bats and ghosts from above that one of two green ghosts ahead of me didn't force me to move. Instead road blocks that can't be killed would force the player to pay more attention to the rails.

hitting enemies feels great with the sounds and particles. Great use of the art assets, nice music and overall polish.

I like the suggestion other commenter gave of more enemy types and even a boss on rails.

Good idea, I can't believe I haven't seen an FPS endless runner before. The shooting mechanics are a little frustrating at long range though, since the bullets shoot from gun barrel direction and not the direction the reticle aiming at. To fix this in my game I attached a script to the projectile that initially launched it from the direction/position of the gun barrel, but over the course of a half second moves it to the in front of the reticles screen position and direction. This still gives the effect of the projectile moving from the gun, but makes it more accurate. Very nice game.

Very cool and original^^

Adding more enemies types would do alot of good for game.

Like imagine having a boss battle on rails ahah (maybe even effets and music)

On the polish side, there is nothing bad to think about. Very solid!

Keep it up!

A fun game but really needs a highscore system to hook players.

Mistake on my end but lesson learned, Thank you for playing btw :D

This is so fun to play.

Haven't saw this kind of game in a long time^^

This is pretty fun. The aiming/shooting mechanics felt really nice and satisfying. I think with a bit more dev time this game could be way more fun, I didn't feel the need to change tracks much so that mechanic, while cool, felt a bit underutilised.

The 3d starfield effect was a great addition to give the feeling of speed, but some scenery or a ground texture under the tracks would have been a step up here.

Overall a solid entry, well done!

Pretty cool how you made a 3D game with 2D assets. Though, there isn't an incentive or end goal to keep playing. Maybe you could add a highscore system.

Developer

I did try to implement a starting scoring system but it just wouldn't cooperate so im planning to add it after the voting ,Thank you again for playing  : D

It doesn't really mater if i am on the left or right track. A good idea would be to put coins on the tracks that the player need to collect. Overall funny game. Well done! :)
