- Very good game. The art is nice. The controls could be improved since there is lateancy. Cool game.

Cute game! Reminded me of the games of the Gameboy!
Good job! You really nailed the game-boy style! I also really liked the tone-on-tone color palette! I think it has a lot of potentials! It's a great foundation for a bigger game! For this reason, I would like to point out to you some small issues/bugs I noticed (maybe I already know about them):
(sorry for my pedantry, but I think can be helpful) Anyways, nice game! Keep up the great work!
Wonderful! Reminded me of the Donkey Kong I used to play on my old Gameboy!
Really good design, art style. Love it.
This is a great game - the art and sound is so lovely. The bit of feedback that I have is that I almost didn't play it because I thought it was broken on the start screen. I didn't realize I needed to push "j" to open the start menu - I suggest having some sort of indication for players - like press any key to start or have the new game / continue right up front. The reason I knew that it wasn't broken is that I saw other comments of people saying how much they enjoyed it so I tried again - and I'm glad I did as it was very fun to play.
Awesome. Glad you liked it and thanks for the feedback creativetherapyco. Yeah I thought about that and then I forgot to come back and work on a starting options screen after the initial scene. I'll keep that in mind when I make another Gameboy game. Thanks!
Loved it! the music slaps, the low-res pixel art is amazing and the enemies were creative, and difficult without making it too hard, I really like all the ruins and the dialogue was kinda funny. great job! loving the Gameboy aesthetic as well!
Thanks man! Gb Studio is pretty awesome. Glad I discovered it for this game jam.
Ah what a nostalgia! this game reminds me of the good old Atari days! I like the graphics and the lore elements. Well done! :)
Great game with nice vibes!
The stage music was awesoooome. Nice art, especially the building ruins and the writing and ending was fun :)
I love the colour palette you chose for this, really reminds me of the older GameBoy games for sure. Nice short game!
Had a ton of fun with this. It was almost like I pulled out my old Gameboy and popped in a bootleg cartage. I hope to see more added to it!
Thanks dude! Totally the vibe I was going for. Ran out of time so had to cut it really short but definitely inspired to make a full length Gameboy game.
Very cool game! The graphics are so cute, the levels aren't that difficult but that's ok. Overall this game feels good and polished, the only issue is that it's too short :(
Hey thanks man! I appreciate the feedback, learned GB Studio while I working on it, so I straight up ran out of time and decided to end the game early. Made the graphics myself so glad you liked them.
Pretty fun game.
The graphics and sound design are awesome. The 4th wall break at the end was pretty cool too. The stages were pretty easy to complete so it would’ve been cool to have harder levels, that maybe take a bit longer to complete.
Overall I had fun playing!
Thanks for playing and rating the game! I totally ran out of time so that's why the game ended up being so short, lol thanks for the encouragement. Learning GB Studio has inspired me to create a full length Gameboy game next time.
Controls were great, music seemed to have a few standout notes but everything fit together really well. and the only small things i notice as a bit of overlap in the dialog boxes. Gives me hope for what I can accomplish with a few more months of experiance.
Thanks for the feedback! Didn't notice the dialog box thing so thanks for pointing it out. If you like the gameboy style check out GB Studio, it was fun to make a game with it. Definitely making another gameboy style game in the near future.
Very cool, really felt like I was playing this on a gameboy, especially when 3 jellyfish on screen made the game run at 2 frames per second xD
Overall I enjoyed this quite a bit, just wish there was a bit more! Great job!
