The game was really cool, I had to get a point off of the audio because it scared the living hell out of me, but altogether, a really cool and cute game, and a very good start! I see the game making potential in you, and there are very cool schemes and ideas in it, like the bread eating ants, which gave me a little trouble, but altogether, fun as heck.

Developer

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed it! I'll be adding a volume controller in the update, I hope this helps the sound a bit. I really appreciate the feedback, thanks so much! :~)

Jam Judge(+1)

Really chill and cute. I had some trouble with the key and getting into the fence but I was still able to collect enough bread. Great work!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! I'm so glad you liked it. There's two keys, so maybe you tried the wrong one? I'll be colouring the keys differently on the patch update after the jam! :~)

Pretty interesting, I'm not sure if the mouse movement was set super high or my internet was having a fit. But occasionally I would move the mouse slightly then immediately be looking at the sky.  Sound was good, low poly makes sense for minimal so good job over all.

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and for your feedback! I'll take a look at the mouse movement in updates, it could be an issue with the web build.

I had such a chill time playing this :p ant dialogues cracked me up, "GİVE ME SLİCE >:O!" :D audio was cool, mouse speed could be a bit faster for my taste. Overall great job ^-^

Developer

I'm so glad you enjoyed the ant dialogue haha! Thanks so  much for the feedback as well, I agree with you about the mouse speed - will fix that up on the patch update after the jam. Thanks so much for playing! :~)

Submitted(+1)

very fun, but laggy (I played in browser)

Developer

Thank you so much for playing, I really appreciate it! Definitely will look into how to fix the web build.

Submitted(+1)

This is a cool game concept! I liked the clouds and the little minimap system. I did experience some lag in the browser version but other than that it was an enjoyable chill experience. Good music as well.

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! I really appreciate the feedback as well, good to know about the lag issue in browser. Thank you so much!

Submitted(+1)

I liked the ants dialogue! Nice 3d models, good job!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! I'm glad you liked it :~)

The ants are so OP, but all in all I think this could turn into something nice because I see potential in it! the physics where okay and I wish there was a fence around all of the park so the level didn't end in the middle of the air. I liked the dialoges of the ants but I wish they were harmless and there was other enemies that could kill the character, like snakes or rats etc anyways, Well done! :)

Developer

Thanks so much for playing & leaving such good feedback, I really appreciate it! I thought about adding a fence all the way around but opted for a respawn feature when you go off the edge instead, but good to know what people prefer. Thanks so much! :~)

Submitted(+1)

Alright. So good game. Good designs. The music is really good and suits the environment. The dialogues of ants really give life to the game.

Yes there is a lag in the browser version, but only in few places. I think its because it has to render so many things at once. So to get a great experience had to download the game.

Overall a great game and really good concept.

Developer(+1)

I'm so glad you enjoyed the ants! I put a lot of time into their dialogue, so good to know people really like them. I'll need to look into how to fix builds for web GL in future because the lag seems to be a common problem. Thank you so much for playing & for downloading! :~)

Submitted(+1)

The models are really nice. The game felt stiff and the movement a bit unnatural.  Maybe it would have been better to play it in third person, looking at the duck.

I liked the music!

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for playing! Yeah I agree with you about the stiff movement, I think I need to rethink how I set up the cameras next time for sure. Thank you for the feedback, I'll look into adding an option to change perspectives for future projects. :~)

Submitted(+1)

Really liked the models. Great job and fun game!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it & the models! :~)

Submitted(+1)

Performance dropped in the browser, but download version is working nice. Good job)

Developer

Thank you so much for playing (& for giving the DL a go), I really appreciate it!

Submitted(+1)

This was so funny, I love the ants' dialogue xD Really well done on the 3D modelling - I like the low poly art style. It's impressive you could complete all the models especially considering the short time frame of the jam.

Developer

I'm so glad you liked the comedy I put into this! Thank you so much, I had a few problems with the modelling for a while so good to know people like them. Thanks for playing! :~)

Nice

Developer

Thank you so much!

The music was really good! The ant dialogues were very well done and overall, I think this game is very cool! Only issue is that the browser version is very laggy after some time, but I managed to beat the game. Very good concept and great job! keep up the good work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing, I'm glad you were able to beat the game! Thanks for letting me know about the web lag, it seems to be a common problem for my web builds but I'm not too sure why. Definitely something for me to work on in future builds!

Submitted(+1)

Don't worry, I made my game to be played on the web and guess what, there are bugs that are not present on the downloaded build :/ I guess it's normal to have issues with web builds

Developer(+1)

It's such an interesting problem! I'm yet to figure out why it happens though.. do you know why? My friend who codes professionally says it has something to do with how the code is interpreted in the build, like a 'different language' or something like that. I'm not really sure how I could fix it at this stage yet though haha

Submitted(+1)

Yes I'm pretty sure is because you use a different "code" from what the web uses. The only thing I can recommend is to try searching online ways to make your game less heavy! For example with rendering, that seems difficult but also fun to learn

Submitted(+1)

The music was jamming at the title screen, awesomely chill in the game and fun in the win screen. The ant talks were the best as was duck swapping. Couldn't get the key to interact with the red gate ;_;

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for playing!! I'm really glad you enjoyed it, I put a lot of thought into the ant dialogue haha! Oh, did you maybe try the wrong key? There are two keys which give you different dialogue - one will open the gate ("pick up") & one will free the ant from it's jail ("pick up to use on crate").

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

Oh shoot, I never saw the 2nd key. Thought I saw everything in the area. Gonna have to look again and get me some bread.

*edit* found it! Yeah, maybe if you color code the keys (like red key for the red gate) it would help. Otherwise you are like wait didn't I already use that key?

Developer

Oh good, I'm glad they work! Also yeah, good idea! Thank you so much for the feedback.  :~)

Submitted(+1)

Very funny, I liked the Low Poly style and its music is nice. And it feels like an entertaining challenge to play

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much, I'm really glad you liked it & enjoyed the comedy! :~)

Submitted(+1)

The performance dropped massively while i tried playing it in the browser. It started fine but became unplayable within a minute. I verified that WebGL is enabled and working.

From what i saw this looked cool, especially for a newbie jam. Nice job with the 3D modelling!

Developer

Thanks so much for playing! What made it unplayable for you? If it was a camera issue, you can click into the game window to enable it. Glad you enjoyed the modelling, I'm new to Blender as well! :~)

Submitted(+1)

The framerate tanked so i couldn’t even look around.

Developer

Oh, even with clicking into the game window? What system do you use by the way? Thanks for letting me know!

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

Yes, you have to click in the game window to play anyway otherwise it doesn’t capture the mouse cursor.

It seems to be worse in some places (near the fenced area) than in others but in general i noticed the framerate is much better when looking toward the edges than it is looking inland.

I can’t play the download version because i’m on Linux and it won’t start on my wine configuration.

Ooh interesting, it seems I definitely have some performance issues to look into then! Thank you so much for letting me know, it helps me out a lot!

Submitted(+1)

I'm going to get the desktop version later because the web gl version was really rough for me. Also the music was super loud.

Good game by the looks of it, I really vibe with the OMG bread ant.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing & for the feedback! Seeing other games implement volume control as well, it's definitely something I'll be adding to my games in the future. I also had people comment about WebGL lag, but I'm not sure what's causing the performance issue (download should be better, but I've had comments saying the mini map doesn't work on some systems)! Thank you so much!! :~)

Submitted(+1)

Prolly has something to do with culling perhaps? Or maybe the build settings you used?

Developer(+1)

Ooh it could be the culling (a new term for me, had to google it but seems like that could be the issue)! Thanks so much, I'll look into that some more when the jam is over.
