Really fun! Every level has its own "aha!" moment where you learn more about how the mechanics work and interact together, and they felt like just the right length to not get burned out by repeating steps if you fail.

Also props on the graphics and the menu music! They were both really satisfying and added a touch of flair to the whole experience, and the graphics felt consistent throughout.

Thank you so much for your feedback! We're thrilled you liked it!

Thaanks glad you liked iit :D

Great interpretation of the theme! Being able to control the environment but not the character is always fun when done right, and it's definitely done right here. Also, using Bach's Badinerie for the menu music gives you so many nostalgia points. That WAS my Nokia ringtone!

Developer(+1)

Yeess!!! We wanted so bad to implement the tone as the main music but was too annoying if looped constantly so we decided to keep it only in the title screen as it wouldn't be seen so much time. Thank you for the nice comments 😁

Yeah, a constant loop could get annoying. Maybe it could have worked if you played it on a constant loop, but paused it whenever time was frozen. But I'm happy you put it at the beginning at least!

Developer

Yeahhh, it was a very cool idea at first, but it led to some weird situations when freezing and unfreezing fast. It was fragile using the tone without converting it from iconic to trauma HAHAHHA

Enjoyed this one a lot. Really fun idea and use of the theme! Great design too. I loved seeing the little virus going from squirming along the floor to leaping through the air. Good work!

Developer

Thank you so much for your comment! We tried to make the little guy enjoyable to watch since he is the star of the show :)))

Very cool idea. I  really liked the design and the character was really cute! Also, the puzzles were very readable even in the low resolution and also great implementation of the theme.

The puzzle design was also very interesting. I liked how you needed to freeze the elements in the third level for the bullet to pass.

I did experience a small bug? in the third stage where my character got stuck on the platform and didn't want to unfreeze or move anymore. In any case, very good!

Thanks for the review and yes! readibility was a great challenge during this game's development so I am very happy that you pointed it out hahahha
On the other hand what you experienced was indeed a bug, in case you give the game another try be careful with freezing the virus on the edges of platforms jejeje
Thanks for the feedback 😁

The game was very good and suited the theme. After the jam I'll go back to play more calmly.

Developer(+1)

Ohh nice thank you very much!! Actually, while working on this we've ended up really liking the idea and we are planning on keep the development going in order to release a complete small game.

In case you would be interested in following the development we'll probably be uploading news on either one of our linkedins:

This game feels very complete, well done! I will admit I did get stuck on the 3rd level, trying to get my guy to stay on the platform 😅

The only feedback I could think of is that I didn't realize that freezing a section of the screen also made some of the walls in it passable (like in the 3rd level). Since the ability is called freezing I only taught it would freeze. But there's a chance that I might've missed telegraphed about that while playing.

Other than that, great job guys, it's a pretty unique and interesting game! :)

Thanks for playing and the feedback!

Regarding the problem you had on Level 3 did you try to freeze the virus (F) over the platform? If you did then it might be a bug but you should stay in the platfrom if you did freeze the virus. Also, if you get stuck you can always go back to the main menu and after that you get directly to the level selector.

As for the platforms getting behind frozen areas we show on the top row of the first level a cannon shooting bullets through a previously frozen area to show that, but it's probably hard to miss because you don't interact directly with it, it's just a sample.

Hope you liked and enjoy the other levels if you play them!

👏 congrats for your game! What inspired you to incorporate time freezing as a central gameplay element?

Developer (1 edit)

Heyy, thank you 😁!! Mainly the optional topic but we also liked the idea of how computers can "freeze". Thats how we came up with the main mechanic of freezing different sections of a screen.
