I didn't intentionally think about Sekiro when coming up with the idea but now that you mention it, I bet I subconsciously got the idea of a parrying samurai from there, haha

nice little game, really liked the art, the only issue is that there is no audio when the attacks fall.

I was debating on whether to add or not sounds for when the attacks fall but decided against it cause eventually you can get 2-3 attacks that fall at the same time, and since there's only one channel for sound I thought it might sound weird with them cutting each other off often.
But I do agree it does sound off with no sound at all as well

Very good, the parry mechanic in the projectiles was really fun. After the jam I'll go back to play more calmly. I think a point of improvement would be for stamina to return when you take damage as a way to balance the challenge.

This is a really nice little arcade game.
I love the artstyle, especially the paralx background.
And the parry is a great bit of game design, it pushes the player to do cool stuff. And doing cool stuff is always fun.
I always felt like a true Roket Samurai when I managed to parry a laser.
I'm not too sold on the stamina, though. Especially later in the game it was hard to keep track of it and I died multiple times even though I executed a perfect parry (I think I did anyways :D) because I had no stamina left. I think a simple, short cooldown so the player can't spam the parry would be enough.
But anyways this is a great game and I had a lot of fun trying to beat my own high-score.
My best is 132, no idea if that is good or not. :)

Yeah, there are some stuff that need tweaking. I'll probably update the game a bit in the future after properly plastering it.

I see parry I go party. Amazing game, nice art and UI and it's varied enough to be final mobile game. My only critique is the waterfall or beam animation because it has no anticipation, it just loops 3 times and it's instantly "released". I would made a animation between those two so the player can react to that to time correctly the parry.
