Superbly told. It isn't often a story can use a worn-out theme but make it sound original. You have done that.

Genuinely a lovely little story that provided a great snippet of insight into the culture of the Ratmen. Always love seeing people share their interpretations of fantasy and sci-fi cultures, and the clashes between them. It was done very well here!

i like the duo

great read. Instant respect for this rat-ogre and his code of honor. Loved the "were it one on one, i would have let you die"- line

A nice twist on the conceptions other factions have about the ratmen. I really liked the story and you managed very well to give both protagonists personality.

A heads up about the time of day

In the first paragraph "he lay under the moon’s gentle glow" and in the middle of the story "It was nighttime by the end, [of the fight]".

Was it night all the time or was it evening in the beginning?

I totally overlooked that detail. Maybe if I had given it just one more proofread haha. Also glad that both characters felt full and not shallow and halfhearted. This was my first of these writing jams and I am stoked to compete in the next one!

More positive Ratkind propaganda. Welcome, I tell you! Threech is welcome at my camp anytime. We can exchange tales and drink tea. Maybe even invite the Knight, if they behave themselves.

My kind of man. Honestly the depiction of the ratmen are what sold me on One Page. I like the aesthetic of humanoid rats, but the skaven are just so reprehensible and gross looking I could never bring myself to play them on the tabletop. Glad there's a fellow rodent enjoyer among the readers.

The story has great imagery. Many of the scenes completely envelope you and pull you into the story. Threech and Bertram were really good together. It is shown how they are very different physically and mentally but they are both honorable. I found the beginning was a little disjointed between the introduction of Bertram and Threech

Thanks for the very helpful and positive comment. I knew when I was writing that the intro was a little wonky, but I decided to run with it anyway.  I'm glad the honor came across, I was worried that it would seem rushed or convoluted.

the rat-sized teapot is a great visual.

I'm glad you liked it. It was a funny mental image to try and capture on paper.
