Description
This is an OST for a story-driven rpg style game where you play as a wizard who can control time. You live in a peaceful town inside of a giant clock tower where you and the townspeople are in charge of keeping time running at a steady pace. Conflict comes as digital clocks infect the tower and try to shut off the main clock. You must use your time bending abilities to fight the digital clocks from taking over the tower.

The track list is:

1.) The Sentinel of Time - This track is the main menu music and sets the mood for the game.
2.) A Timely Town - Peaceful town music that would play at the beginning of the game before enemies begin taking over.
3.) The Clock's Shadow - Digital clocks start to infect the clock tower and create an unsettling atmosphere.
4.) Cybernation Battle - The digital clocks attack and you must fight off their attempt to destroy the clock tower.
5.) Eternal Moments - Time can finally beat steadily again after the threat of digital time is eliminated.

Lovely song writing! This was super pleasant to listen to! I could almost hear someone singing along the piano melody in "A Timely Town" and skipping around carefree haha The idea of having digital clocks trying to take over and representing that with digital elements that progressively creep into your music was very creative and well executed! I also liked the fact that you had a musical theme that you played around with, throughout the different tracks. Overall great entry!!

Thank you so much! Really appreciate your feedback!

really fun songs! i like how you only added in digital sounds in "Cybernation Battle", it really solidifies the evil presence of the digital clocks. also that little reverse thingy in "The Sentinel of Time" was really cool! i'm assuming that would be the game start-up sound.

i enjoyed listening to this, you should be proud of your work :)))

Developer

Thank you! Glad to hear that what I was going for with the digital clock sounds worked out. Appreciate you listening!

Loved the variety of moods in this soundtrack!! I also like how you transformed the theme a little to fit the new groove in each track. Awesome stuff!!

Developer

Thank you so much! Glad you were able to pick out the theme, I had fun transforming it and placing it everywhere I could.

Awesome! The story you wrote here is very cute and pretty original, and the soundtrack goes very well with it.

I really like how with the more intense tracks, you never let the listener get too comfortable, by creating a loop that stays mostly the same but with changes every time - maybe with a drum break, maybe with more or less instruments, but it's never exactly the same. It really helps to keep you guessing, and help maintain the atmosphere.

With the calmer tracks, you still change things up, but in way nicer way - you develop the music based on what came before in a very nice way. It makes sure that the music doesn't repeat too much, and keeps it interesting.

I also wanted to say that i love your melodies! They're all great and pretty memorable - i could sort of repeat to you what i heard after only one time, which is mighty impressive.

The only thing that brought this down for me was the production - it felt a bit too muddy, and it kind of bugged when the music is fading out, but the tick-tock seems to be only barley fading. Overall the production is pretty good actually, but those hiccups kept it from greatness (to me at least). (Btw, i'm not claiming to be some expert producer, but i just liked so many things about this submission, that i had to say what brought it down for me)

Overall, really good! I can't wait to hear more of your stuff :)

Wow, thanks so much for your detailed feedback! I really appreciate it. And yeah, I totally agree that the production was the weakest link. I ran out of time to mix more and fix a couple of things I noticed after bouncing. But, feedback like this will help me improve for the next jam so thanks. Cheers!

This must be one of the best thematically linked OSTs I've heard, both in terms of the motif you've used, and the transitions. Can help but bop to cybernation battle, really good balance of chaos ,and the restful motif. great job!

Developer

That's so kind, thank you! Also I love that you used the word "bop" because thats the word I always use for any music with '4 on the floor' kick drum which is what I used on that track haha.

Makes me want to get a PS1! Really love the town and the battle themes, they are just so cheerful. The mood changes between the tracks are fantastic!

Developer

Haha glad it gives you a PS1 vibe! Thanks for listening and glad you enjoyed the mood changes!

Hi! We met at the Music Town Jam!

I love "A Timely Town", the melody is catchy and gets stuck in your head immediately. And I like the fact that you don't quantize on this track, it's more lively and fresh.

I was surprised at the end of "Sentinel of time" with that menu selection sound :D

Bravo, you've very cleverly placed your theme (G G D C Ab) all over the place. Sometimes it's subtle (the Clock's shadow) and sometimes it's explosive (Cybernation battle).

It's a great job that would go down well in a game!

Developer

Hello! Congrats on the Town Music Jam! Your music for that was so creative and well produced!

Thanks so much for your comments! It's cool that you were able to pick out my theme.

Look forward to seeing your stuff pop-up on future jams.

Great compositions and mix of moods, from the more emotional opening and closing tracks, the lighter town music, and the exciting battle sequence. Good blend of sounds. The bell clang in Eternal Moments works really well. I think Cybernation Battle was the standout track for me. The clock sounds were well done, but the hard panning gets a little tiresome after a while. Thanks for making and sharing!

Developer

Thanks for listening and for your feedback! And yeah I agree after the fact now that the hard panning is a bit much the whole time lol

A lot of variety on display in your track list.  My favorite part is when The Clock's Shadow transitions to the Cybernation Battle

Developer

thanks so much for listening! I was happy with that part too
