Message from the artist
Hope that y'all enjoy the soundtrack inspired by both themes and my enjoyment of visual novel adventures based on absurd fictitious legal systems.
Theme
How does it fit the theme?
The underwater theme and garments of the girl in the image (who looks like Pearl Fey) inspired an Ace Attorney-esque Octopus lawyer game OST called "Octo Gonner".

This sounds rather unique - the choice of voicings and production here is interesting. As a whole it gives me some early 32-bit era kind of vibes which I dig a lot, truth be told.
Some unconventional approach to instrumentation and arranging at points but it works really well. Testimony has this almost off-beat kind of drag to it which is emphasized all the more when the pizzicato-sounding accompaniment comes in.
Postulations has this sense of urgency about it; almost oppressive at points but resolving into something a little more determined as it progresses. Really enjoyed the lead synth line that comes in here - melody is apt, and the patch itself sounds great as it cuts right through the mix.
I like that the string-sounding patch is so omnipresent throughout, functioning as a pseudo-motif in itself. Clever approach to keeping things congruent and cohesive. Good work with this; off the bat it catches attention and has a very defined and personal sound. Made for an interesting listen and executes on the theme well.

This is so much fun. It feels murky, particularly how the bass is kinda warbly (treated with some chorus?) and with how the tempo is relatively slow. There is a tension to the sound, but also a sense of mystery and the subtle, quiet drums lend groove to tunes that could easily become just forgettable background audience. Just as if you took the courtroom and just sunk it in the ocean. Cool OST and good job!
Courthouse - Cool beat and deaf ambient sound (I don't know what else to call it, heh)
Testimony - Heh, love how this effect on the bass makes it feel like they're playing underwater (What's it called, by the way? I forgot :_) ). Nice melody in different ears, this effect makes it seem like you made music in the style of the old scene... and that's cool!
Sad Tail - Sad and alien-like. But the instrument in the right ear can be obnoxiously loud at a couple moments.
Postulations - What is that? Is that cute? Yeah. Is it dynamic? Yes. Is it an unusual combination of magical sounds, synths and fast percussion? YES!
Slippery Testimony - I like how you used the bass motif from Testimony, but sped it up. This, along with the rest of the composition, creates a sense of cohesion to the whole soundtrack! And the track itself is cool)))
Tides Rising - Oh... time for something atmospheric... Creepy
STOP! - Hehehe, time for the climax! A cool climax!
All in all - you got a good soundtrack with some interesting techniques (I won't get tired of saying how much I love different instruments in different ears, lol)
Thanks!
This was fun to listen to! There are a couple things here and there with the mixing and composition that aren't 100% there for me. However, the thematic is really fun! There is very endearing creativity on display, and you really captured the Ace Attorney vibe we all love and cherish.
I'd say quite solid stuff, you should keep at it! The mixing and production stuff is just matter of practice, being creative and having good ideas is a lot more valuable, especially in a world with so many tasteless professional productions out there. That's just my take, of course.
I like clicking at random on a submission with a weird artwork, bizarre name, hearing first seconds and going "meeh.. where does that goes.." And being then unexpectedly hooked by a super cool bubbly bass punching square chords (nevermind my music vocabulary) making me feel like a badass octopus with no apparent reason ! Thank you for this...
All your Ost has that strong identity and unique vibe. Perfect for a unique game as... the one you described..? ^^
I would have developped more on the later tracks, they're all cool, I couldn't help but going back to that tasty banger Courthouse theme ! X)
Super cool and original Ost my friend !
Thanks! Glad you liked it :)
such an amazing fit for a goofy fish attorney game honestly

LOVE IT!
Interesting, it totally sounds like an underwater Ace game, the styles are meshed perfectly!
Glad you like the style!
This is one badass octopus.
This is a really unique interpretation of the theme, and I think it does a good job of capturing the Ace Attorney style in terms of composition and instrumentation. Very fun submission, I enjoyed listening through it and getting a look into Octo Gonner's world.
PS: The judge being a hammerhead shark is super quirky, definitely a highlight for me
Glad you enjoyed it! Had a lot of fun putting it together
