Description
"Voyage into the Depths" is a dramatic orchestral track written for the OST Composing Jam #7. It starts with some ambient soundscape synths representing the vastness of the sea, noise textures representing the waves above, and then some arpeggiating bass synthesizers define the track's rhythm. The female choir adds a dramatic effect, as if your adventure down has a huge sense of importance. The melody is played by a glockenspiel, highlighting the child-like nature of the character.
Later in the track, a small solo of the dramatic cello ensemble with the build-up shows the difficulties and sense of doubt of the character, but as the track crescendos, you know your destiny lies in this sea and these depths; you are certain.

Key & Tempo: F minor / 90 bpm
Equipment: GarageBand on an iPad Pro 12.9" (2018), MIDI tracks recorded using a Yamaha PSR-E423.

Theme
How does it fit the theme?
The atmosphere created by the synthesizers (mostly bass, noise and pads) give this track an underwater vibe. For the game, I imagined a plot where a little girl was diving into the depths of the sea to find her mother's lost medallion.

Hi Aemilius!
Very special strength in your composition. Portraits a deep emotion and present nuances along track that were very carefully made. Love the synth sounds in the background.
Amazing work!
Hello, thank you for your kind words!
Gospel choir is one of my favorite things ever and I really liked it here!
I do think it could have ended with something more dramatic or at least a tad more satisfying but it was still really good!
Thanks, glad you liked it!
Enjoyed the overall feel of this music. The beginning definitely sounds like the sea. Loved the synth textures!
Thanks!
Great buildup and great payoff. Lovely track good job! I think you got the theme right there, nice!
Thank you!
Wow, sounds like something is waiting in the depths
Indeed!
I love how everything builds to those string melodies at the end of the track. I think you combined and layered quite a few instruments and textures successfully to create a really unique entry. Well done!
Many thanks!
Great work! Nice layering and instruments, but maybe a bit lack of volume automatisation.
Thank you!
Fantastic layering, really cool artwork, epic AF, I don't see what we could ask more ! The metalophone melody could be a little quieter for my taste, but that's really neatpicking.
Thanks!
Love the build up with the layering of choir, pads and arpeggio. What a vibe!
Thank you!
Love the choir and the synth pads, as well as the arpeggiated bass, they give a lot to the atmosphere of the track! Also, the artwork is beautiful!
Thank you!
