I can't believe my eyes, this is a game :D

Seriously, it's a decent game. I think break theme should be fitted to her ego who could break if bad comments are allowed.

Game, more like lame

This was strange, but in a very entertaining way. One might call it artistic, even.

The art looks cool, which fits the theme. The design is visually interesting overall and makes good use of the palette. The comments are just incoherent enough to be realistic, and the mechanics are simple but surprisingly challenging. I also saw that you've somehow found an intersection between three different game jams, and that's impressive all by itself.

Good job! I had a good time with this game, and I was able to save Ester's ego.

Now that's a very surprising concept! I didn't manage to get very far though, I started with something like one or two positive comments and they were replaced by negative ones. 

The art on the right is certainly interesting, but I didn't get the chance to really look at it while playing as I was focused on the left. 

Good work on the sound, it fits well with the weird atmosphere of it.

A nice idea that's a refreshing break from a lot of other entries in the jam. I think the concept is solid, but it would be nice to see it taken further.

PROS:

  • Unique concept and uses some nice graphic design to work well with the color palette limitation of the jam.
  • Simple controls that are intuitive once you get the context of the game.
  • Very relatable subject matter for those participating in the jam. ;)

CRITIQUES:

  • It would be nice to see some form of progression if the player survives a round to give them reason to push further into more rounds. Something like recurring commenter names and/or followers that have consistent remarks on different art pieces would further flesh out the world of the game.
  • The typo comments well represent comments commonly seen on the internet, but do feel mentally jarring to see the misspellings and terrible grammar. It serves the gameplay to force you to think more about what's being said so I don't want to say it's wrong, but it did bother me to have to process each time.
  • I spent at least a couple rounds just ignoring the game to look over at the art on the right because when playing I almost never actually look at the right side of the screen due to the feeling of such limited time. Somewhat wish the art piece itself was more highlighted or centered to better enforce the context of the subject matter.
  • Possibly intentional, but there were definitely some comments that felt completely ambiguous as to whether they were positive or negative and those just turned into pain points for me when I guessed wrong.

Thank you so much! the spelling for the most part was intentional but on most of them im just bad at spelling and grammar in general, I can write good but I cant write well if you know what I mean. if I were doing it again I would probably have more comments and put the art in the center of the screen

Pretty interesting concept! I really enjoy the music used.

Though there's many typos within the text which really brings people out of the experience when playing the game. It also tends to get pretty boring after the first round of playing due to only having a couple mechanics. The game also gets boring due to being solved since you can memorize which text is what and then choose it quickly based on sentence length or the first couple characters.

Thank you for the feedback! I was going to make more for each person and my father even suggested some kind of algorithm to randomly generate them forever, but stress and time ended up winning in that decision and I went for 10 or so comments 5 good 5 bad.
