The game doesn't apply the theme but it makes me want to have a break from barrage of enemies.

The game is repetitive and it doesn't have big error tolerance making it not fun.

Simple but sweet. Darn those pesky coffee cups!

I liked the colour scheme. A lot of the games in this jam ended up rather dark, so it's nice to see a few entries using brighter and more colourful graphics.

windows download doesn't work (missing the data folder, you can turn on Embed PCK to avoid this) ground moving would be a good idea too, aside from that pretty fun

Developer(+1)

Hmm, odd.
I will do another test of the exe after voting is done and re-upload it.

Submitted

the exe is probably fine, but you need the data folder and .pck file as well

Developer(+1)

The pck should have been embeded, but it seems it does not work.
I have re-exported the game with exe and pck separate and will upload next week, once voting is finished.

Nice runner. could use some variations, all obstavle spawn at the same rate which makes it really easy. You could also make the ground scroll to give a better illusion of movement.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback.

The ground does scroll, but for some reason this did not work in the Web-version, so I replaced it with a static ground.
The Windows exe version does have ground scrolling.

Neat runner. I included it in my Palette Jam 2 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

I'm a sucker for runner games, it's so addictive. You nailed the hitboxes, I felt I was punished for actual errors in timing so it was quite fair. The music is all right too, but the sound of jumping is too high in my opinion, especially as you hear it so often.

The game could also use some more variety, like flying stuff to duck or spikes in difficulty.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback.
Yes, it is pretty barebone, but as I learn more I hope my future GameJam games will improve too, or that it the expectation :-)

There's no difficulty ramp so I just had to stop after 4 minutes.

I swear I didn't lose the game after that exact duration on purpose.

Very cute game ! I like the simple mechanics, maybe more enemies or bonus and change in speed could make it more fun in the long run (also you say that your game doesnt apply th optional theme but everyone always need a coffee break ;))

Developer

Thanks for the feedback.

I did consider increase in speed. but did not get around to figuring out how to do it.

Pretty good game! I really like the theme you've gone with with the coffee pot avoiding coffee cups.

The game does tend to get pretty boring after a bit though since its just the one mechanic over and over again. There's also some inconsistencies with the art (the coffee cups don't have a black outline while everything else does)

Developer

Thanks for your feedback.

I totally missed the outline on the cups.
I made the game as a last desperate move to submit something, so did not go into too many mechanics and such.

Hopefully I will have something better as time goes and I improve both my knowldge of Godot and my almost non-existing art skills.
