- You've got a really clever idea here: some tips to clean it up. Would like to see a better indication of when i should be flipping levers, maybe auditory queues and such on top of the ! marks. My first time through the timing on completing each section to flip the switch in time with the show was a bit tight, which can happen when you're playtesting a lot and get very good at your own obstacles. I like the unique concept of both watching a show and keeping it rolling below by doing platforming challenges. Shadows is somewhat present, but alchemy is pretty much absent in my time with the game, so a weak theme score from me.
Did you include your Game Design Document as a Google Drive link?
Yes!
Seriously... did you include your Game Design Document?
Yes!
Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes
Tell us about your game!
Ok! So, I will tell you that you need to keep moving forward. Otherwise, you'll probably lose a bunch.
Keep momentum! It helps you clear the hard obstacles.
wasd to move, hold jump (W or Space) to jump higher!
This was an experimental idea that I decided on because it would teach me to use Untiy's timeline feature pretty well.
I've also never made an effort of adding art to a game, so I drew everything myself and am pretty proud of that.
Lastly, please give me feedback! Is this a weird game that scratches an itch, or is it just weird...
Thanks a lot for looking at my game, I'm sure you have a lot on your plate so I appreciate you volunteering for this.

This is such a sick concept! You just need a lot more work to make it good! Things that could help are coloured tekst for the characters (even voice acting?), a clearer indicator (like a sound), for when you have to click. Also the tekst is so slow, like I'm a slow reader and got frustrated. I see people complaining about the parkour, but I thought the movement was fine and not that difficult.
This is a concept you could keep exploring though :) I haven't seen anything like this before!
Wow thank you so much for the feedback!! I really appreciate those points and I'll be sure to add them after the jam . I made the tekst slow sort of intentionally to give the player more time to get to the next prop, as my only trial run was struggling with the platforming.
You're one of the first one not to say the platforming is too hard, props to you!
Really appreciate the encouragement. I didn't have time to polish, but the fact that you think the idea is unique and fun means a lot :)
Really great game! The idea is very creative and I had a lot of fun playing. I also loved the character art and dialogue. The platforming was difficult but definetly doable after a couple attempts. Great work overall! I'm excited to see what you make next
Hey, thank you so much!! That means a lot, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
I must have lost like 15 times maybe more XD. But despite the anger i finished and enjoyed it, even dropped a couple of chuckles here and there. Simple but effective. good job
Hey thanks for checking the game out! The platforming isn't very forgiving so that's understandable xD
Thanks a lot for playing and the feedback :)
Hey, I love this idea, I think it’s really creative to put yourself in the background of the theatre and make sure things run smoothly. I agree with a lot of the points to be made, the platforming is quite difficult (especially when you’re under time pressure to get to the next lever), and it’s hard to time them if you get to them too early. The consequence for failing (going back to the start) is understandable but a bit frustrating. I also think that having someone actually saying the dialogue instead of having to read it while under time pressure would make that element of the game a lot less stressful. None the less, I thought it was a cool idea, well done :).
Hey, thank you so much for checking it out and for the feedback!
Glad that the idea was fun enough for you to still enjoy the game, there's definitely some problems with the difficult platforming, mixed with the dialogue being "read-only". I didn't have anyone playtest during development, but it's clear that there's a design flaw as you can't focus on the dialog and the difficult platforming at the same time... Lesson learned!
I'll definitely be making some changes to it that make it more intuitive after the judging period.
Really valuable feedback, thanks a lot :)
Hi, great game , platforming was pretty tough and i had fun playing love the idea and your execution
Thanks so much! Yeah some of the jumps are pretty hard, but hopefully satisfying when you get it.
Really appreciate you playing and enjoying :)
The platforming was very hard, I kept overshooting my jumps after falling. Honestly, I don't know if it was because of the player's movement, or a skill issue. Eventually, I got the hang of it. The idea is very cool and I got a laugh from the dialogues. But kept losing because I was paying attention to what the characters were saying, and that annoyed me a bit. Maybe putting an exclamation sign dialogue boxes, or playing a distinctive sound when the player should activate the switches might prevent the player from missing the window and allow them to pay attention to what the characters are saying.
Wow you brought up so many good points, thank you for the feedback!
Tbh I think the player movement is very difficult and definitely takes some getting used to.
The fact that you were trying to pay attention to the dialogue and that caused you to fail is HUGE feedback because that is definitely a design problem. Will definitely take that into consideration when I smooth it over after the jam.
Thanks so much for leaving feedback and for playing :)
This has all the makings of a really good "tough-as-nails" platformer. Plus the whole concept of having a time-limit be a natural part of the story is perfect. I do think the penalty for failure is a bit steep, but I also know checkpoints are probably not easy to put into a game like this. The difficulty curve starting out is pretty high, but you do get used to it quickly. Once I got the hang of it, it was a lot of fun and very addicting. Good work
(edit) Bravo on the idea. I thought it was brilliant!
Wow, thank you so much for the feedback!! You're right, the checkpoints and "success windows" were really hard to time, and I was worried that I made it too difficult for the jam.
Made my day to hear that you liked the idea :D Thanks for playing!!
Also, getting through the last bit (where there are two options of levers) you'll need to pay attention to the environment as you run through it...
