  • LOVE the game volume and color blind options!! Those are so helpful and appreciated! The in game tutorial and instruction is really nice. The art design is so good on this game. It gives an old school TV 90's feel and I loved that so much. The controls and physics of the gun were unique. I was not expecting the shooting to help you navigate. That was a good design. The sound when you shoot the clown character made me laugh out loud! The ability to slow the game down was really key to balance of the game mechanics and my ability to master them. I liked being able to speed it up on a last hit that I knew would hit so I didn't have to wait. I like that you can select the different levels from the menu/save disc screen. That was handy and useful. The one thing I would say to work on is the physics of the shooting. When I shot the gun it did not consistently/always propel me a direction. It sometimes stayed where it was instead of propelling me away from the shot I'd just taken. This needs a bit of fine tuning so the player can rely on the controls and their ability to maneuver. Thank you so much for your submission to the game jam. This was really creative, very fun to play and was on theme!

Fun little arcade game. I like the art and the music!

I had several issues while playing the game, firstly, it’s nearly impossible to play only on full speed. The speed of the “normal” game is way too fast and so difficult to control the gun.

There is no challenge to the game, as being able to play the game permanently in slow mo made it way too easy, albeit just really slow to move around. The gun having unlimited ammo, as well as being able to shoot semi-auto without reloading by just spam clicking also makes the game really easy. The only way I died was being impatient and letting go of the right mouse button to speed things up.

It seems weird that the gun also only changes direction if you click close to the gun. Why does it matter how far you click from the gun, when the gun should always have recoil.

The autoscroll on the camera is really annoying, as many times the gun travels way faster than the camera, making you not be able to see the gun at all. Furthermore, together with the previous issue of having to click close to the gun, you basically cannot control your character at all the moment you go out of the screen.

The concept and idea is great, the artwork and music are also a nice touch. It needs work on the gameplay and mechanics, but it has potential as a prototype to the game jam! Great job!

I added a recoil option in the menu to have recoil every shoot, if you want to try again with that enabled, and I fix the camera (isn't a big update)

Okay this game is so fun. I can see speed runners competing with this as well as some kind of infinite mode. I enjoyed trying to figure out how to use the physics to my benefit without also unclicking the rmb. The pixel art and level design are cool. I spend most of my time in the slo-mo mode though maybe it's a skill issue not being able to use the normal time as a boost? Love the crt effect and the level select screen. Especially because the effect isn't too overdone so everything is easy too see. Great work and great game jam game!

This was a fun mechanic. The full speed was completely uncontrollable for me so I basically had to play only in bullet time. It felt like the only case where it made sense to switch to full speed was when I had a bullet in the air and just needed to move forward. With that in mind i think it would have made more sense to have bullet time be the default and have you click to fast forward. Or slow down real time a bit to make it more manageable. I also felt that having to click the gun to change your velocity was odd. I was expecting every shot to effect velocity.

You are right, normal speed loses a bit of sense, but I found the problem, the real reason why it's uncontrollable at normal speed is the impulse mechanic. It's really hard to impulse in the correct direction at full speed.

I'm experimenting with some possible solutions. Thanks for the feedback!

Sorry, I harmed silly guy out of curiosity lol The mechanics were awesome, especially slow motion - but it was a bit too overpowered, perhaps make it limited in the number of uses per round to give the game some difficulty curve. Art was especially nice, and the backgrounds too. Sound effects were very fitting also. A great little game that you made in two weeks!

amazing game!

i really like the artstyle and gameplay

i wasn't a huge fan of the autoscroller camera, especially the seemingly random left turn in the last level - it made me lose track of my player a lot of times - maybe you could add a little icon that points to the player if you're offscreen

also having infinite bullets and time slowdown felt a little op - i have a couple of suggestions in terms of this:

1. make slowdown limited (or have it charge up so you still have to spend some time outside of it)

2. make slowdown faster

3. make bullets limited so the player can't just spam them

4. (imo the best way) add scoring based on how many bullets used and seconds of time taken total, with bullet time NOT slowing the timer down or the amount of slowdown used (or both), which adds a lot more replayability to the game and incentivizes you to not spam bullets and slowdown

Wonderful visuals, the CRT fits the vibe so perfectly, and the UI and menus are just so professional. At first I thought it was awfully challenging, but then I noticed the slow mo mode. That was thoughtful to include! I also want to point out to everyone that this game allllmost had a visual novel component, and that's so hilarious to me that I feel you deserve credit for it even if you ran out of time lol. Very fun and cute game!

Cool game ,  bullet time feels a bit too powerful , feels like katana zero , nice job

Took me a second to get accustomed to the controls but then it was smooth sailing. I love a bullet time game, I think it would be really cool to have a speedrunning timer to encourage players (me) to not constantly be in slow-mo. Great music, fun art. Hope you never harm any silly guy ;)
