Title
Fireplace Jazz
Description
Imagined being with family by the fire around Christmas while doing this. Had to rush through some parts but I'm really glad I finished it.
Started with a somewhat jazz sounding chord progress then started adding jazz instruments and copy pasting then editing stuff till it sounded a bit jazzy.
Plugins used
Virtuosity drums, a great free jazz-ish drumkit. Sofia MZ's pianos.

THIS is some Christmas jazz! You nailed that aspect. lol I can even imagine and feel like I'm shopping in some department store while a live band plays. I like the way it all fades out with that roaring fire at the end, its so soft, warm and welcoming :)
a bit sudden of a transition at 1:24, overall a nice song
Winter jazz without some of the cliches. Nice song, but it does miss the maze theme.
Yeah I tend to forget/ignore the image. I can really hear the maze theme in the emotion in your songs.
There's clearly a Christmas jazz atmosphere. The previous comments have already pointed out the strengths and weaknesses.
The beginning is very good, but the melodies follow one another and overlap to the point of giving something a little too disordered.
The breather at 52" is good for the mood.
The intimate part at the end is great.
The theme is very well respected. Good job !
Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it
the vibe of this song is immaculate. especially the part starting at 52 seconds
Nice! Really like that last small section, the overall vibe of the song and the main melody are great as well. Although the melody and harmony felt somewhat random at times. Really like your drum work, I'm jealous lol.
Thanks so much! This video was helpful for me in learning to write for drums, though its just a start: How to Write Drum Parts (for non drummers)
sounds nice! i think the transitions between instruments could have been smoothed out a bit tho :0
Yeah, listening to this after a break some parts are a bit messy. Thanks for the feedback.
