Coziest game of the jam! Sprites and colors and world are done so expertly that I forgot I was even playing this for the game jam. Great job!

This is just a really nice, chill game! I love the large sprites for the mascots and the environments were all very well-realized. Great DSD absence too haha I did run into a bug in the sewer platforming section where it felt like an invisible force was pushing my character backward, but it seemed to possibly be corrected by pressing up on the d-pad (or perhaps it just went away on its own). Overall had a really nice time though!
The vibes in this game are perfect, I could have believed that this was an obscure game from the past that was just rediscovered
Nice game! I was blown away by the genre shift! Looked really hard to do and you nailed it. I love the amazing sprite work too, incredible! Also, you hid Steve and Pitmaster insanely well, I had goosebumps watching Pitmaster staring into my soul lol
After winding down from a long day, I had such a lovely time playing through this. Like what dubze27 said, it was so much fun to spot all our games' similarities and differences. Even though we both used GB Studio, seeing how differently we interpreted this year's theme was a joy.
Your pixel art is excellent, and your use of colors is stellar. Dubze27 and I were both in awe of what you accomplished visually. Using character portraits with the mascots was such a charming touch, and the different animations/facial expressions you gave them added so much!
I loved the arcade music track as well, by the way! Hearing your interpretation of what an arcade area would sound like on the Game Boy was a true treat for the ears.
DSD's absence was also great; I grinned hard at that one.
I'm excited to see what you create next :)
I was wondering if you would be continuing the vibe from last year of making a sweet and heartfelt game--and you sure did, but it's also so inspiring to see the huge growth from last year too! I love that you made a game that feels adventurous, but also has that feeling of--I don't know, almost a real life experience? I remember as a kid various "collect the stamps for a prize" promotions in various places (I think there was a yearly one at the local library) and it's such a nice vibe. Also a lot of fun little pieces to this, and some lovely art and smart spriting!
We really loved your sweetie game for sweeties last year so we were looking forward to this one! What a wonderful game. It would have been enough to collect the stamps around the town - I think the use of hide and seek elements in particular really works well in this type of game - and enjoy the beautiful sprite work - but the genre switches were really unexpected and added so much to the experience.
After this game I have been inspired to go back and play original pokemon blue on original game boy so thank you for that too!
Really fun to see another GBStudio game and see so many similarities and many differences! The art is really good in this, I especially love the train sprite. You did a great job of converting the characters to pixel art! And fun idea of getting stamps
Oo that arcade music is good! Kind of ironic that being my favorite tune in the game when it took me foreeever to find the second hidden mascot! The switch in gameplay for the latter half was pretty cool and unexpected. Oh, and I liked your incorporation (or lack thereof?) of DSD. One last compliment: great sprite work!
incredible sprite work. and the gameplay changes in the latter half were really well done and surprising
Cute art style and great music! Hide and seek minigame was fun!~
Cute little game! Nice job with the mascot sprites! Pitmaster really found a sneaky hiding spot...
