What a WILD game! The story is so intriguing, I just had to know what happened next! What happened in the Battle of Hastings? How did Lennen end up that way? Who was Primeval Mask before he was J Dog? The writing and humour is great, and it's really fun having a jump button in this game. Absolute joy to play.

Really cool use of Sera's echolocation for both platforming and combat, I really like the animation too how she makes her hair swing like a pendulum. The surprise dinos were the best and had me roaring with laughter. I like the platforming is very well tuned, I'm playing on keyboard and mouse and it felt really smooth jumping from one to the next. Great 3D modelling, Cygnus looks awesome especially that dragon coat, and Seraphina's design is really cool, I like she wears the mask when firing her gun.

One of the most surreal experiences with gaming I've had in a while. At first it was just trying to work out where to go within the time limit. Then once I heard from the community about the hidden Solveigs, each run became an exploration further into the unknown, craving to understand more even as each attempt brings far more questions than answers.  Art that feels like it unravels your mind, and music that feeds your curiosity fueling each run with new determination, this game will keep me coming back and stay with me for a long time.

Had a stellar time with this game! Wonderful art and music, I really liked the lore of how a world of having three friends and Tricks was integrated into the story. Really good level design, love how the cave has shortcuts to earlier areas and to the other side of town. The whole experience was outstanding and cozy, I wanted to live in that town ~

Thoroughly immersing from start to finish. Having the hair swish tied to mouse movement is such a great gamefeel interaction, and it's incredible how after a moment you really acclimate to navigating with Sera's echolocation. Really like how much atmosphere is in this game, gradually pitching from pleasant adventure to an unknown terror.

The use of different colours for things makes reading the echolocation feedback easy and intuitive, which made the more tense sections really fun as you're trying to get away from danger while also trying to figure out where to go. Genuine relief when I finished, that was a perfectly executed Squeeze and Release. Sakurai would be proud!

BIG GEORGE! Fun platformer with a really good use of the special power, I liked working out the routes to get the objects to get the keys. Good tension with having to balance being on fire without letting George burn to nothing, love his animations on the main menu too, the breakdance was cool! Love the details in the levels too, seeing the creepy moon face behind the pillow of the bed was so freaky lol

An absolute vibe. The visuals, atmosphere, story, all complimented with an incredible soundtrack that just brings it all together. I like the use of the ghost grab mechanics and the level design was pretty cool, the town is so detailed and moody it felt like the fog was going to come out of my screen!

Really loved the interpretations of these characters, DSD true form was legit scary, and both of Solveig's forms are so cute. The good ending was super cute and made me tear up, I wanted to stay in that world ~

One of the most moving games I've played ever. I like how there are little hints that something other than slime slaying are going on, and once Erika's storyline started weaving into the game I was really invested.

By the end of the story I was in total goosebumps and really felt a bit of resonance with Erika, having taken a "safer" path of Business Management and IT back then over Graphic Design, then years later just being sick of my life before now going back to my roots more with art.

One of the truly beautiful examples of a story that can only be told through the medium of video games. Only thing I didn't figure out was the ticket that costs 50 gold, I couldn't figure out where to use it.

Wow this was a blast!  The visuals and music make the puzzle solving really fun to engage in, really enjoyed the variety of ghosts we got to play with. Really like how Mary is just in 100% go-mode, I felt so bad for Big George XD

Thank you so much for the kind words! I was worried the whole time making it it might end up like a boring walking simulator game, it's very inspiring seeing comments like this and super happy you enjoyed it ~

From one sweetie to another, thanks :D

I always appreciate the comments :D

Slowly getting used to it, I always thought of myself as gooby kbsGrin

This is so good! The way each character's personalities comes through every action, their idle, their combos, even moving around; The Champ's lazy jog, and Solveig's super creepy crawling are especially fun to watch. I like there is enough to the combat system, being able to weave a dodge in reset or popping a throw in the middle of a combo, together with the music and win cutscenes it's absolutely top 10 Anime Battles.

Gotta shoutout the modelling on the characters, I love how authentic it is to their original designs and how you made that work for adding personality; I never considered how utterly creepy Walrus would be having that smile plastered on their face 100% of the time XD

My main? Primeval Mask. Mt Crushmore is too good!

A very interesting game! Learning how the weaving process works and then trying it out for yourself is quite a unique experience, really liked how the process changes throughout the game and I felt it did very well to reflect the message said at the end of the game.

A very addictive game! I like how involved you have to be at the start, you can't just park a bear on a tree and expect it to do all the work by itself, having to mobilise your bear force rapidly is very fun. Love the DSD lore too, am I right in thinking he's been to the MLP and Fallout dimensions? Together with the doodles, the lore was a really nice special treat on top of a super solid game. Shoutouts to a great music loop too,  infectiously good and still awesome after like 30 runs.

Wonderfully charming in presentation and a solid game to boot. The wool and fire mechanics work really well, with a bit practise you can carry the fire around and keep landing explosions on the bosses, the game feel as a whole is so good. Really liked the writing and pacing, just an awesome game all around.

Absolutely tickles my card battle game itch! Everything is so strong across the board, the art, the music and vibes, all complimenting a very addictive card battle system. I like the variety of effects and conditions, and the latter rounds with Melanie's Decree made each hand feel tense and exciting.

Everything about this game is pure joy. The amount of detail and charm put into the characters and environments really brings the space to life, love the version of DSD you've come up with. The gameplay is very fun, I also appreciate having a couple of extra pages about, I managed to just finish under the timer. Went back to collect everything afterwards, one of my favourite games to play in this Jam.

Oozing with style, wonderfully fast paced and imaginative. Loved the varied way echolocation was used, in those dark/foggy environments it really amped up the mood and atmosphere and made those some really tense and fun moments of gameplay.  Music is perfect with the gameplay, loved the story being told, really great stuff.

(1 edit)

Wow this was awesome! Great use of Seraphina's power during gameplay, loved the scale of this project. Was really fun exploring and seeing what's behind each door. Loved the design of Sera's maids and your different takes on the characters; when I first saw Solveig there was a split second of terror then recognition, great work!

EDIT: Also loved that ending, I lol'd hard at The Champ's bit just before that too

Had one bug, when coming out of the door from the underground elevator it would clip me back down to the lower level. I got past it by jumping out of the elevator, but I did have both the underground and mansion music playing at the same time (actually was a nice mix lol).

A lot of fun platforming, I like how everyone's powers are used for different  gameplay elements, George is great to move and control, loved how the story ended. Very sweet game!

Thank you! The writing and lore helped me maintain confidence in the project since I couldn't do a lot with it on the gameplay-side, happy to hear you enjoyed it

Thank you :D

Incredibly sweet story, quite a bit to explore and find, some really funny moments and some very heartwarming moments.

Absolutely delightful platforming, each new mechanic was fun to work out, and the sounds of acoustic guitar for Big George's jump is a great vibe. Really fun to play.

Thank you, glad to hear you enjoyed the exploration! I think that was the part that worried me the most making the game lol

Thanks!

Great art and fun idea, loved your design for DSD.

Yoooo baseball! I find batting hard as heck but it's very fun, love the style of the 3D models, the picture-in-picture moments. When someone goes to steal a base it's like a Wild West quickdraw, had loads of fun with this one.

Outside the cinema, the poster thingy on the left of the booth is where I hid those :D

Addictive! Played it many times until I could finally get Champ to work. I liked being surprised by DSD, the rhymes were really funny and I like how they changed both the words and the world, had a really good time with this one.

Awesome stuff! Love how you executed the idea of Solveig's power. Is Jerff meant to be Peter/Spidey, he feels like Kyle's interpretation of him after Midnight Suns XD

Excellent all around, really vibed with one.

Very cool game! Love all the different characters and the callbacks in the roster for each team. Great music, love how different each team's deck is and the special win conditions make you feel rewarded for good plays.

Glad you like the art, I haven't really tried animation before so I really enjoyed trying getting the hair swish look good.

Thank you!

I've had one run of this so far, really love the amount of details packed into the rooms, love the concept, enjoying it a lot. One of my fav things too, timer mechanics! Loved that tension as the time ticked down and then eventually seeing poor Champ's fate. I'm gonna try to get to the end before I rate this one, so far really digging it.

Only thing I had that was weird was the exe download, I couldn't get the room to scroll to explore the rest of the floor. The zip file version of the game worked fine.

Ah sorry, I should update the description with the controls!

Gameboy B button (I think it's ctrl by default on keyboard?) should make Sera use her echolocation.
