Had a hard time getting what was going on with the fishing mechanic at first but a lot of thought had been put into it at least. Every visual aspect of this game was clashing and the UI wasn't very appealing. In saying that being a first game that's a lot to accomplish so Well Done!

This was very well done.

Fishing mechanic was well made and thought through.

Casting the line out needed a better visual indicator of where it would land, but I don't think it mattered.

Great job and good effort.

The idea is great and i imagine it wasn't easy to code the "sweet spot" as a first time developer. I like the reel length showing how close you are to catching the fish, plus the green bar changing direction.
However the level design isnt great, the collisons are off and the camera is a bit wonky when doing the blend.  I'm not sure if this was just an issue with me but the mouse kept showing up sometimes and i had to click and hold to look around. I'm not sure if you can actually choose where to cast either as you get no aiming feedback.

yes you hold C to bring up the mouse and wherever your mouse is when you release c is where you will cast to.  There are onscreen messages I intended to help understand the casting method, thanks for playing.

As your first game ever, excellent work! It is in fact a game with things to do and a challenge for the player! Regardless of everything else, having a game submitted is a huge win!

That said, I could see this being a nice little minigame! I think the intent is to manage both the pull direction of the rod with LMB/RMB and drag with MW? If so, that seems like a lot for one hand to be responsible for. Additionally, having both results be communicated through the vertical axis of the green bar is unclear. I think breaking apart the feedback could do wonders for the playability.

I think you have the making of a fun minigame here! Nice work and congrats on having a submission!

Since this is your first game ever i have to say well done :) It has game mechanic, menus and a kind of goal. Controls are very unintuitive and i was able to walk out of the map. The minigame to catch the fish is very detailed.

I would say looks pretty sick as a first game. Loved the graphics. The controls are a bit hard for me though :D, and I was a little confused about how close is the fish to me when I reel it :D. Good luck on your journey!

Controls are a bit unintuitive and casting the line always led to some glitch that took a while to get unstuck. It could also have been me not understanding how to do it properly.

That said, this has a nice vibe to it and I like how your only option is to release the fish after you've caught it =)
