I see everyone talking about the sharks being too hard but it felt balanced to me. Well placed headshots and they go down. Overall the game is fun but the fishing minigame part was pretty simple. It was very easy to catch fish

Thanks for playing!

Downloaded the game after seeing all the comments. Took a min to get the game but when I got all the controls and concept down ended up being a well put together game. I agree with most when it comes to the sharks and the day time cycle should last a bit longer caught 3 fish then it was night again.

Developer

Thanks for playing! We wanted to make it longer, but we decided to keep it as it was for the purpose of the jam. We will consider extending it for later, but that might make more sharks want to join the feast :D

Excellent work.

This is the winner in my opinion.

I'm keeping this to play later :)

Developer

Thank you for your kind words! Glad you liked it.

Really liked the theme of the game, and the assets fit really well together, i had a tough time shooting the sharks, but other than that i really enjoyed it

Developer

Thank you for playing! We wanted to give our sharks an earful for bullying players, but couldn't find their ears yet :(

Very easy and fun. Like the fishing mechanic. I died the first night as I couldn't pick up the spears or didn't know how to get the harpoon, but tried it again and night time was fun on the second go. Well done. Great idea and lots of fun.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! Yes indeed the harpoon gun might not be very noticeable, especially the way it's put in the level, we will do something about it :D

Submitted(+3)

Easy to pick up and fun, does feel pretty harsh to get through even the first night though. Good Job on the gameplay in general though.

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for playing! The sharks should die in one headshot with the harpoon gun :D But yeah it probably should be balanced more yet. Although I don't think it should be a problem for you because you are an expert dealing with so many spectral fishes :D

Simply Great. Normally, fishing games can be tedious. This was nice and quick.

Developer

Glad you liked it. I hope our sharks did their best :D

Really liked this, style was great and the fishing was really well done, enough elements to keep it interesting.

Developer

Thanks for playing :)

I like the lowpoly style it's simple and clean. I enjoyed the game, it was really well done!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it! 🙌🏻

So simple and yet so fun. The first time it turned night gave me goose bumps.

Very well done!

Developer

Thanks for playing, we spooked you :D

Fun and stylish, but unless I missed something, i think the sharks may be a tad too strong. I upgraded the harpoon first day and still struggled to keep sharks off the boat at night.

One other suggestion is maybe swap sharks for some sort of eldritch creatures. Could help explain their appearance only at night. I like it and could see it being even more fun and a solid portfolio piece!

Oh, also the sounds and atmosphere were nice overall.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing, you can headshot the sharks to kill them with one harpoon, but balancing can definitely be improved.

Okay, it seemed like a few times they dies in one shot, but I couldn't ID a point to aim at for that to happen. I figured it might have been a random crit chance.

Very fun to play. Love the lowpoly style. The controls are very smooth and having the day/night cycle helped keep things from becoming too repetitive.

I did wish there was an option after the lose state to restart as I was ready to get my revenge on those Sharks haha and having the game close right away was a surprise the first time.

I can see this game being expanded on in the future and really hope you do so!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! We'll take the feedback into consideration when updating the game 😁

Thanks for playing! Man you should have taken your sad bears with you, I think together you could easily beat all the sharks, no matter how many are there :D

Submitted(+3)

I really like this concept, it was fun to play! could use some more audio/music, other than, it was a blast!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for taking the time to try it out

Great Fun, Consistent styling UI and Gameplay, satisfying fishing mechanic. Improved animations and more variation in gameplay are the only things i could say. Best game jam game so far.

Great work

I had a lot of fun with this! Gameplay mechanic is perfekt! I like the day night idea. It is challenging i have a goal and i can skill so i have progress. Very well made! Better Graphics and extended Gameplay an you could sell this on steam for sure
