Really like the graphical aspect of this game, the assets looked really good, i also like all the sound effects the music, the ambience, and the voice, i think gameplay could have been better.

Loved the opening cinematic, the transition from the menu to the cut scene was very smooth. And the fake out with the rod at the start was hilarious. Made me laugh seeing what he would pull out next.

I do wish there was a bit more to the fishing aspect but at the same time, I fully understand where you were going with it. Hope you continue to expand on it in the future!

This is an impressive demo

Really fun, I got quite a few chuckles out of this one, great work.

One of the more enjoyable games because of how silly it is. I dig it!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

It felt very silly creating this, but lots of fun. I'm glad people enjoy it for what it is.

Well it was a blast! I had a silly grin the whole time, once he threw the fishing rod.

This was really well made! I found 1 minor bug, it seems like the mute buttons did not work? but the sliders did the same job so no biggy. I found the gameplay a bit lacking, but it was a fun experience going trought it. Great work!

Developer

Yeah, I completely forgot to hook up the mute buttons. The audio settings were done quite last-minute because I couldn't quite decide how to balance music vs. sound effects vs. voice and I thought it might not be as bad if people had a way to adjust to their preference. Learned that people actually use settings, so next time I'll spend a bit more time on polishing those.

Thanks for playing!

When he threw the fishing rod I laughed out loud, nice work.

Developer

Making people laugh was my primary intention, so I'm glad it worked. There's another little surprise in the game that I don't think anyone has discovered yet. You'd need to be a little patient, though.

Thanks for sharing this!

Menu + Intro is well made. Overall the graphics are good and detailed. I just was missing some Gameplay (one button press to score was boring to me)

Developer

Point taken. I was indeed struggling to select a genre for this when submitting and you're right, it's a bit of a stretch to call this a game. I was going more for an interactive mini-story type of thing.

Thanks for taking the time to review, gameplay is definitely something I need to focus on more.

Great concept and really fun! I loved it.  It looks fantastic also.  Plus you had an airboat so you got me right from the beginning cutscene that was great.

Developer

I'm glad you liked it! Thank you for the kind review.

The animations are really nice and it has a nice animation sequence from start to fishing. There is no scalability settings however so it seems stuck at max quality and I get low fps so its hard to aim where to throw.

Developer(+1)

Sorry about the bad performance. You're right, I should've spent some time testing on other hardware or expose scalability settings somehow. I'm not sure about the rules, but I could upload an updated version later on if it's something you're still interested in.

That said, the aiming is pretty wonky anyway, so even with higher FPS it's probably not much easier. =)
