If you have implemented the modifier, how have you done so?
Some of the SFX was done foley style. The entire soundtrack is original music made by our composer, Ryan.

Any additional information for voters?
Speed dating is inherently so bad it's good. Also, this is a high effort shit post.

I love how there's no text count limit to the player's name.

LOL. I was pleasantly surprised The Bee Movie wasn't pasted in. I disabled copy/pasting in that field, thanks for catching that.

Damn I forgot that there is this copypasta that is more relevant to everyone

This was really really good!

The story had the perfect beats and did successfully parody these sorts of dating sims while  being engaging and interesting to play! The characters are especially well written, and all bring  something to the table.

I liked the recurring themes/jokes  in the game, and  the hosts are possibly just as interesting as the love interests!  The art is actually really nice but I love the mish-mash of art styles! Really helps with the SBIG factor!

Overall a really solid entry and I had a lot of fun! Thanks for submitting!

Fun characters and dialogues, thought the modifier could be applied a bti more excessively.  Ended up with Sundae waifu, nice.

that was a very good game. can’t really think of much to say about it which hasn’t already been said, but those were some based pronoun options at the start.

I don't really like this style of game, but this was good enough to keep me interested. Interactions with Sundae the dinosaur interactions were funny, also I like the character being gaslit by all these weirdos who are at the speed dating. So I think you nailed the jam lol great (horrible) job! (:

Thanks for the comments! The game's been updated to 1.0.1 with fixes for the ending loops so it should hopefully be fine now.  ZIPs with the game for launching on desktop are also up.

And yeah, this was our team's first game jam as a collective. More than half of us had never done one before so we weren't sure how hard we'd go. Thought the SBIG jam would be a good place to start... then we wound up being a well-oiled machine so what can ya do? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The graphics are almost too nice for SBIG Jam. There are some clashing art styles, but for the most part it fits together. The buzzer is annoying, but other than that, I'd probably say the same about the same about the audio. It didn't really feel like excessive sound design, either, just decent.

I think "incredibly random but surprisingly coherent" is how I'd describe the game. I'm not familiar enough with the genre to fully appreciate the parody, but I still got a few good laughs out of it. I reached the Neutral End with Sundae, but it weirdly seemed to continue to a different ending with her, and then looped back to the "who would you like to leave with" screen.

It took me way too long to figure out that Steve is a Minecraft reference. And now I'm wondering if the other characters are references I didn't get, too.

The settings black out on me which sucks as I wanted to go to my save (I like to save before final choices), so I hadn't gotten to the part where you pick a partner, but overall this had a surprising high quality style to it, but it also feels really random yet no disjointed. The way the speed dating is conducted is so messy as they only ask like one or two basic questions before throwing you at the tables, so talking to people felt less like dates and just trying tp seedrun knowing everyone in the room. The fact one of the dates was a giant lizard who can't even talk was hilarious. Also the horror noises going on in the kitchen was quite disturbing haha, I did not expect the sprinkle of horror atmosphere. Running it on the browser is slow, and it says my browser doesn't support video playback in that mode, so I do recommend making a downloadable build as it was quite choppy for me. Also, nice to see a fellow Ren'Py user!

Silly writing and funny clash of (good) artstyles. I did experience some looping text like when the owner checks on you, that convo looped a couple of times. Still, was a fun game!
