Beat it! I love that you played around with Dante's Inferno lore. Very cool idea. The jump button took me a while to get used to. It seems like there might be a bit of a delay in the input? Also took me a while to figure out the boss fight. I spent a while on the boss head racking up a giant combo thinking I was doing damage when in actuality I needed to kill the adds. Really cool game though, and an incredible job for only 72 hours!!
Thank you so much for the feedback! Yeah i was thinking of adding some tips at the start of the fight but didnt have the time to add them in.. Will add that to the to-do list for the upgraded post-jam version!
My best score: 12231
Gameplay: 4
Game was fun, i did get stuck for a while before realizing that i can jump higher by holding space. The jumping mechanic made the controls feel a bit unresponsive. The bossfight was really cool, idk what happened but i went to get some more health and the boss died on its own lol
Theme: 3
Theme is a bit lacking, but its ok:p

Excellent artstyle, excellent visual effects, excellent everything:) I especially love the souls flying off when you kill enemies
Sound: 1
Can't hear anything, is that intentional?
Thanks so much for the full review! Thats a great score as well! I'll look into the boss behaviour when i can, thanks for bringing that up too. For the sound sadly i couldnt find time to implement any so yep, that's normal. Thanks again!
Was a very beautiful game! I love the art work and I definitely see this with more polish being a hit! A few things though!
Jumping feels a bit stiff, not sure if this was your intention or not. What I mean is there felt to be some sort of small delay between me pressing W and Dante rising. It was very slight and it annoyed me a bit. He also falls down like a ton of bricks! If these are intentional design choices than that's okay!
Attacking felt similar in regards to there feeling like there was a delay between hitting things, but it was very easy to hit enemies overall so I didn't struggle with killing them.
I love combo systems in games, and I didn't realize there even was one until about ten minutes of my playthrough! It was really cool once I saw it! You should make it bigger and more noticeable!
Overall I really enjoyed the game and you did an amazing job! Keep it up!!!!
(On an unrelated note I was listening to Master Boot Record while playing and it fit well imo)
Thanks for the feedback! The delay in reactions is sadly not a design choice, I was playing around with the new input system and interaction types but that added in delays that i overlooked by the end.. I'll look into that music! Since i have to add sounds once i get into upgrading the game i do need soundtracks so thanks for the suggestion!
No problem! Give the first song a listen! Its what I was listening to hahaha.
Just listened to it, it does fit the vibe pretty well !
Master Boot is incredible!! I'm not sure if they ARE they keygen music people back in the day, one of em, or inspired by them. But they're one of those things!
Good game. I ended up just running trough most of the level tough to get to the boss. Nice job making all of this in just 3 days! The boss hands ended up hitting me when i was on the sides and they weren't moving, but other than that it was a good fight
The aesthetic was really good, definitely my favorite part of the game.
Thank you! I did notice some cases were the hands glitched out pretty bad, so i'm sorry this happened to you.. I found that if they get stuck sometimes jumping on top of them makes them react (they go back up once touching the ground)!
I really enjoyed the game atmosphere, well done -- the boss fight was pretty exciting! As others mentioned, the jump has a bit of a lag but you get used to it eventually. Great work!
Thanks !
The style is cool. I enjoyed the boss design quite a bit!
Thank you very much! It's definitely the one that took me the longest to design so thanks!
ggs
thanks!
I liked a lot the art and animations, and the whole aesthetic of the game is really appealing :) I think the jump could be more responsive, but after some playing you get used to how it works. Nice Job!
Thank you very much!
Nice game! A bit long but nice art and puzzle solving to get to areas
thank you! yeah I realised it was a bit too long when someone spent 20 min in the first areas whoops..
liked the player and enemies art, but that delay on the jump upset me.

thanks for playing ! sorry for that, i tried implementing a "long press higher jump" mechanic in but it seems i should have fixed the timings better! I'll be sure to adjust it in the reworks after the Jam!
I beat the game lol -- took me 30 minutes. The hardest part of the entire experience was the jump - oh man it took me forever to get it down. It did seem that I would get a jump boost after running into the wall. My favorite part of the game was the screen shake with the boss and the main character animation. Nice job!!!
Even knowing myself the easiest paths my best time was around 6 minutes after quite a few test runs so 30 seems alright ! Thanks for playing! I'll try and adjust the jump after the jam thanks for reporting that!
