Thanks for playing!
I'm glad the story went the direction it did, it's definitely true to life. It's neat to see an entry that was humanizing when horror games often try to make things scarier by deliberately dehumanizing their subjects.
Glad you liked it! I actually did a survey in the week leading up to the jam and the majority say the most scared they've ever been in a video game was because they we're afraid of losing a character they cared about whether its the main character or an npc. A lot of the real life experiences of fear they brought out all had to do with emotional attachments as well. It might not get the same screams but it certainly gets a more personal and memorable reaction from the player, especially if they actually risk losing something.
Oh, thanks for running that by the way -- the results finally pushed me to get that "memory ward" story that had been rattling around in my head into a game with the number of people responding "fear of being forgotten"
I really loved playing Dememorize so I'm glad it helped!
I like have its done. The story has taken me, and the music on the background was ideal for the sad moments.
Short -> but a great game, with few endings!
Thanks for your submision!
Thanks for playing!
Actually, despite itβs appearance, this was a cute little game!
While I feel you should have used much more submission time than you did to make this game much more advanced, it is still fun with a nice few endings!
Overall, good job for a micro-game! No complaints!
Thanks! I actually submitted just the games page so it would be ready to go and then worked on the game. This was my first game so I did actually use a lot of the time and submitted the game itself 3 hours prior to the limit. Really glad you enjoyed it though!
Oh! My mistake! For a first game, isnβt a bad take! Congrats!
Pretty spooky at the start but surprisingly wholesome ending, it also felt very polished, nice work!
Thanks
Really interesting story that goes along with the game. Good flow of the story in how it leads to the events that happen and overall good user interface. I really liked how players can have a flowing conversation with the interface.
Glad you liked it!
Really touching story. Nicely done. We want to say more but can't without ruining it for everyone who hasn't played yet. Good job!
Thanks!
Very well done and emotionally engaging. In a months time if asked to remember highlights from this jam your game would be mentioned.
Thank you! That means a lot to me.
This game felt very real and immersive and gave me an emotional reaction. I really appreciate it!
Thank you!
Nice. I've had a few situations like that in my life, too, and I've dedicated my life to other people because of it as well. Thanks for posting this!
Glad you enjoyed it!
That's what such short games are supposed to be! The best game i played on this jam so far (even though it's not much of a horror :P)
Good stuff: Surprising and neatly packed story! Visuals are also awesome
Bad stuff: Every time I turned around there was a bug that caused the screen to be black. Looking at the screenshots I was supposed to see the "Stranger in the night" stalking me i guess
Yeah sorry about that. I can't figure out why it happens but refreshing the page seems to fix it. Glad you enjoyed it!
Was not expecting that! Pleasantly surprised, great entry!
Thanks!
