I liked how you put little changes around the house during the horror segment

I'm not sure if it's just me but the controls were very hard to use as my character would not walk the way I wanted them to alot of the time and my camera would randomly jerk away but technical issues aside I really loved the art and the story of the game.
I really love these kinds of story experiences and I really loved how the pill bottles turned into beer bottles when the cop lights started playing. The story overall was very encaptivating and the environment just brought it all together beautifully
overall the game was a really fun experience :D
Oh, I loved this! So much about it really stuck the landing of what I think a really short experience like this should be. The pixel art and simple 3d modeling really lends a sort of... distance, I guess, from the main characters perspective, like they're doing whatever they can to get away from what they've done. Just a wonderful little experience.
Only thing I would even potentially change is what others have mentioned, the whole idea of portraying more of the story through subtext, less... blatantly, I guess? But I still think the story here is great. Amazing job, excited to see more work for this team!
Oh, I like the vibe so much! Great style, story and experience :)
Thanks for creating it!
I liked the sounds and dialogue system very much. Overall a nice experience.
I love this game's artstyle, the simple pixel art really sells the setting. The narrative is a lot of fun, my only critique being that some aspects of it could be conveyed through subtext. The one thing I disliked was the movement and interaction system, but the awkwardness of that didn't really inhibit my enjoyment of the game. Looking forward to future projects :)
This game is great! Probably the best story entry I have played in this jam! Simple controls, charming visuals, and right sound for every sequence. Can't wait to see what future holds. Great entry ๐๐ป
I really liked the music and sounds in general in this, they set the mood wonderfully for the story. Graphics are also charming in, love that 8-bit styled 3D. I think my only gripes are with the 4-directional movement and mouse sensitivity, but I think that's engines fault and it didn't hinder my experience regardless. Good work on this ^^
wooow amazing visuals, how did you even pull it of with bitsy3d!? I liked the story and lenght too, good job on the sound too
Awesome game!
Idea and plot are nice, twist is really neat.
Horror atmosphere is short, but concentrate and shown principle, that say 'Worst of monsters are people'.
Poetry is amazing! =)
Thanks so much, it means a lot! I'm glad you liked our game. For the fire we mainly wanted to contrast the original drawing on the fridge with the one in flames to emphasize how the protagonist's life turned out with his family. Interesting how you saw it as a fire in the house, but that's a nice interpretation. Our idea was him facing punishment and living with the guilt at the end :)
Ohh I see, it was just the one line "Dad the trees are burning"+all the papers scattered around the room near the end made me think we were living the dude's final moments, as all of his accumulated guilt climax'ed on this fire accident, which was caused by his addiction (same as all his grief started). Oh and I forgot, one thing I would recommend: I don't know if it was because of time limits, but some songs are not correctly looped hehe. Aside from that, pretty good!
Honestly that interpretation is pretty cool. Would fit well with the overall narrative as the protagonist's end. I always loved the idea of having a bit of an ambiguity in endings to let the mind wonder. Also with the soundtrack we had some issues with some plugins we used, which then messed with the timing a little when trying to fix them. Thanks again though friend :)
Really good work guys! But mb a little bit too much text that kill suspense and fear
