It ran at like 5 frames per second for me but it was still a terrifying experience. Nice work!

my god I'm in love with the atmosphere

Developer

Thanks for the kind words!

i had trouble with the brightness and the controls. I was getting stuck a lot, and i don;t know if it was my screen, but at times i could not see a thing. Other than that, i had fun!

Developer

The movement is the same as tank movements from the old ps1 games, same as the camera fixed angles, the brightness we will refine it a bit more and decorate the map even more so  players dont get lost. For the enemy since its 2D , and there really wasnt time to make other sides it ended up like that

The Thing is pretty neat and the environment has a nice, eerie feel to it, probably because of the lighting. I really, really dislike the control/camera scheme though -- I understand it's an oldschool ps1 vibe, but I also think that the camera+controls are the parts of those games that have aged the worst. Here, it led to a lot of quality time with the Thing -- well at least the death sequence is fun haha

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah its not for everyone the tank movements, and about the Balloon Eye yeah he ended up a bit harder than we wanted, we will fix it in the pos jam version!

I liked the aesthetic and environment, even if it was a bit too dark. As someone else mentioned, the monster was pretty relentless, so I wasn't really able to get to the end. The door prompt always says "Press E to Open" even if its closed, but that's a bit of a nitpick. Like the design of the creature as well!

Developer

Thanks for the honest review and playing!

Very nice basis for an old school vibe horror game. Good job.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! We will refine it even more after the jam!

Both loved and hated the camera angles. I dislike the turning controls. When the hallucination first appear it was actually creepy to look at. I feel the game could have benefited from some droning music or maybe just a looping buzzing sound from the ceiling lights to better set the mood; it felt very quiet (not in a particularly scary way). Also, when the monster chases you its really difficult with the camera angles to both escape it and figure out where to go.

Overall pretty cool game. Cool death animation btw.

Developer

Yeah we didnt had time to implement everything, there was a lot of music we didnt had time to add even tho we made it. We are aware of most of the things you said, and we will fix it in the pos jam!

Submitted

Intense atmosphere and really nice camera angles. I struggled a bit with the controls but otherwise cool!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yeah the controls are similar to tank moviment from old games, so it gets a bit to get used to it. they are easier with a controller.

Submitted

It's quite a nice game but I couldn't make it to the end because of the monster chasing me relentlessly, did I miss something?

Developer

No, because of time we didnt had much time to refine the creature, so they ended up quite harder than we wanted

I loved this game! I really love the old resident evil feel of it with all the puzzles and camera angles.

The controls were a bit weird to get used to at the begging but it I got over that fairly quick. I honestly didn't notice tooo many bugs considering the scope of the game and the allotted time for the jam!

honestly amazing work with everything about this game. it was fairly detailed for such a large map never did i really feel underwhelmed wandering around the hospital the atmosphere was brought together beautifully with all the sounds, story, and monsters throughout especially the one in the medical room I loved that one! I loved that you went for a creepy approach instead of just relying on jumpscares too

overall you should be proud of how this turned out! I loved it and I can't wait to see the future of this game :D

Developer

Thanks a lot of this comment and for playing, mean a lot !

Submitted

I really liked that one! The level could have used a little bit of lighting but overall it's a great game. I liked the ambience music it was really unique

Developer

Yeah with a huge level like this for a small jam, we struggled a bit with the level design and assets, because we couldnt put everything in time, we will for sure fix those in a a pos jam version Thanks for playing!

the atmosphere was fantastic! The environments, the monster designs, especially the spooky monster in the archive staring menacingly was one of my favorites! I really enjoyed the anticipation built up through the notes, and I think the puzzles were well done!  I know there are some bug's here and there due to time constraints but overall a really spooky experience, loved the ps1 style design with this one!

Developer

you gonna make me cry <3

The story in this game was great! I do wish that there was something to help with depth perception - I often thought there was a hallway where there wasn't due to the shadows. Regardless, I enjoyed playing it.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Indeed a lot of the assets we didnt manage to actually put in the game due to time, which would have helped a lot with orientation.

Great job with this game! I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the exploration part of the game, I felt very on edge during most of the game which I think was accomplished with the dark setting and lack of sound. However one problem I had was the overall lack of direction, I didn't really understand my objective and what I was trying to do.  Don't let that get you down though great job!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Maybe I should have given the player some direction, but ultimately we wanted to have the player explore the map on his own.

Submitted

Really liked the setting with this one! The monster in the corner was nice.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing!

love the movement, really unique, really good atmosphere too

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Love the camera! The atmosphere is spooky. The player movement could be better. I found the key and I got stuck didn't know where to go next.

Overall a great little game :)

Developer

Yeah this type of movement is best play  with a controller, but we didnt had that time to actually add that xd, overall if you search all the map which isnt that big, you should have the door to progress.

Submitted

I REALLY (REALLY) like the old silent-hill kind-ish camera movement in games, and you didn't just used it, but actually implemented it really good! (My fav one was the one below).

I really liked the overall atmosphere here, great work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Me too! I had some, a lot more interesting, but with the time rush we ended with something more basic, hopefully we can improve in the pos-jam version.

Submitted

Really nice atmosphere you created with this one, there was a good amount of build up. Nice work!

Developer

Thank you for playing! and we had to half the map because of the time

Submitted

I quite liked the ambience and the atmosphere. The monster design is also quite fun! At first I was afraid of how the tank-controls would pan out because going forward felt so fast, but after a minute I think the controls were well made and good like that. Loved also that the camera views were at points creative and fun. Great job!

Developer

Thank you for playing! We had a lot more planned, but like every jam, time does take a tool ahah

Submitted

Heh yeah, timelimit is both a curse and blessing. But maybe in the future :D
