The graphics are superb, and the gameplay works really well! I like the tense background music, even though it may seem like a detail. Well done for your work!
Fun and addictive horror platformer. Like the use of color’s to help with hiding and the feeling of worry as things passed nearby. Really fun game thanks Mistrust team!
the aesthetics give this wicked City/ghost in a shell vibe in the cut scenes, the game graphics remind me of the mini games in five nights at Freddie's where your the princess trying to solve puzzles. the game play feels like trying to survive the war of the worlds movie with Tom Cruise. overall its a good game and props to whoever made some of this pixel art because it is truly haunting.
nice! The intro animation was super cool, but the actual game was a little bland - would have been nice to see more story and/or horror elements in the gameplay section. Nice music!
The intro is gold! Really sets up the mood for the game! The gameplay works well, simple, right to the point.
However, it feels weird having the camera show so much of the sky and not seeing where ladders will take me ^^' Also it's been said, but while displaying tutorials in game is clever, it's not quite readable.
I like it overall, especially the intro which is awesome! Nice job =)

I found the game to be quite entertaining and cute. I found the theme quite curious and I would like to try to play it well at all. Everything very well adjusted, commands etc.
I really liked the creature design in the game's opening cutscene but it was a bit tough to see in the game itself because it was quite small. I think having limited visibility helps the game though. It was very difficult to read the instructions/hints however without running back and forth because they were underneath the darkness. Maybe they could be moved to sit on top?
The gameplay reminded me a bit of Oddworld on the PS1
The creature you saw in the opening wasn't implemented in the game even though it was supposed to. Since it was shown in the cutscene it's quite expected to encounter it in game.
The creature on the ground is actually a "normal" enemy and since he stands out from the others I guess that's why it leads some people to believe it was maybe the creature from the intro.
The tutorial was placed very quickly at the last minute and I didn't expect the text to be affected by light so that's why there is this strange behavior but it shouldn't be hard to fix I'm sure!
Didn't play that one!
Great work! The mood here is great, and the premise is kind of fucking terrifying. Love it <3.
Feedback:
QA and playtesting stuff. I fell into a hole after a few minutes, and restarting the game because you got stuck feels kind of meh. Overall the gameplay was not very interesting. However, the visuals for the intro, and the audio overall was really good, and I think more focus could have been put on that, and the sidescroller part could have been skipped entirely to give way to a story and visually focused game. Because again, this team is very good at visuals and audio, and would have been able to create something even more beautiful if time was put in where their strengths are. Overall, there is a lot of skill here, it all just needs to be put together. Keep at it!
Thanks for your honest, constructive feedback and your time! :)
The gameplay is very basic indeed because we wanted to make sure we can finish the game in time. If we had spare time, only then would we have add more features on top of the basics.
The art team did a very good job but as the lead dev I have to confess I personally think I didn't take the best decisions for this particular project.
We knew making a sidescroller with basic game mechanics and turning it into a fun game would be challenging because of the limitations tied to the perspective.
Technically I had to work in my weakest areas like AI (which is not really an AI as you can tell, no decision making) for example.
The technical challenges went wrong and took too long to be implemented. As a result, many things had to be dropped or rushed on my end like the level for example which explains the problem you encountered.
We thought about making a visual novel or a point and click at first and I think that would've been much more doable since making a story is way easier than having strong enough game / level design IMO. I agree this kind of project would've make the artists shine a lot more.
With that being said the game is what it is, it is out there and with more time and work it can be much better for sure! :)
