Who was that woman? What is the brooch used for? I hope you keep on working on this, because I liked the story in this game.
The story is quite interesting, I'd love to see more of it! The choices make it a nice interactable experience and add replayability! I think if you added some art to this it would go a long way! Nice entry!
Nice to see a prickly text adventure in the jam! Mysterious mysterious!
Interesting story, enjoyed! Play also my game, its hilarious halloween chasing)
Neat story, I love the short and fast paced choice style, good job.
I love the whole choose your own adventure style of it, really had me hooked and was deeply disappointed when it ended. Great story!
Too sad itβs so short ! Agree with the other comments, there is potential for a good creepy story :)
Putting aside that it's unfinished, I enjoyed the terse writing and quick pace, as well as the minimal but effective aesthetic. The color choices created a creepy vibe and also made the text readable. My suggestions are the things you already mention wanting to add -- changes in music from scene to scene, SFX, maybe aesthetic shifts as the story progresses. I enjoyed it!
The incredibly quick and brief sentences are a nice change from the sometimes overly verbose text games I've played, well done on that.
The easily readable font on a decent background color is also a plus.
Good going!
I really like the brisk pace of this! Reminds me of choose your own adventure books from my childhood. I hope you keep working on it after the jam!
This is really well written. It reminds of a horror choose your own adventure from back in the day, which I loved! Add some dice mechanics in for combat and this could be a best seller when you have time to finish it :) Awesome work!
Thanks for the nice words! Glad I got to give you some nostalgia :)
It was an interesting story and I liked the choices. I hope you will finish this!
Thanks for playing! Glad to hear you liked it
Fun little play. I wanna know more about the brooch! Hope you can finish this one day.
Thank you for playing! Glad you enjoyed
Nice start! I hope you have time to complete it. I was certain something was going to get me when I pulled back the shower curtain!
Thanks! Hope I can finish it soon too
Cool, didn't expect to see a text based game for this jam.
Observations:
1. The ambience is just right.
2. Feels like you have real choice; I didn't play through it twice but it at least gives the illusion of choice.
3. Good storytelling.
thanks for the kind words! :)
