Interesting story! I was a little suspicious of my boss and the old lady from the start. Also thought Mara's family might be a bunch of vampires, glad it wasn't that typical. The animated background gave me the feeling of a really hot day. The character art was nice, but I would've liked the monsters to look and sound scarier.

the art work and voice acting are both outstanding! it really helped me immerse in the story. it was a shame the game was quite short, i would've loved to see a more developed version of the game! impressive work everyone!

Fantastic art work and voice acting! Really brought me into the game!

I love that you added voice acting, the story is interesting, and I will definitely check out a full release.

The ending I get is a bit rush. The ending was, as soon as I went home I was attack by a green monster.

But I love the visual. Nice Art

I liked the cold opening a lot. Otherwise I wished for a little more to do and maybe a fighting chance against the lettuce monsters. I am quite content wiht the atmosphere of the whole game though. Good job everyone!

I was very much invested but I got a bug with one of the .ogg files :( - It was right after seeing the books before you get your tea. But up to that point I was super invested!

Developer

To be honest I'm not really the greatest fan of visual novels but I have to admit that the effort your made on the voice acting is super cool and make you stand out from typical visual novel in game jam, and I really like the art with the little moving / hand drawing shader that made me think of Omori

Cool entry :)

The story is very captivating, but I ended up running into an error while playing.

Thank you! I believe this error has been resolved.

Sound design and voice acting was very good. in a jam and a platform where renpy is a very popular engine, having voiced characters is a really good way to set your game apart from the rest. props to the voice actors. well done.

The story really grasps the players attention and brings them into the world. The art is well executed and I enjoyed the endings.

Grannies. Corporations. Anachronisms. Theremin music. What's not to love?

Art style is simple, but effective. Writing is compelling and introduced an interesting story about a strange town. And wow, quite a lot of voice acting. Great work for such a short time!

I encountered an error at the end of day two after the boss calls that crashed the game.
