It took me back when I used to play games hooked to a CRT. Thanks for the nostalgia, dude! GG
Thanks! I really dig the effects too! Made sure to make them on point (or try to).
Love the asthetic, kinda feels like I'm playing an arcade game. I think the detection for the level exit is a little too big, but other than that everything feels pretty good. Good job overall! I also made a dungeon crawler like game so you should check it out.
Ok I deff will! Thanks!
I loved the retro game vibes on an old tv. Reminded me the good old times when i was playing "Dark Chambers" from Atari. Really nice job!
Thanks!
I love these kinds of games
Thanks!
Can i be added as a creator
Yeah but u gonna rate it?
The game feel is nice but the movement are a bit rigid though.
Thx! Yeah the movement supposed to be like that.
Love the screen special FX's
Thanks!
Repost from the itch.io page:
I like the music and I really like the idea of having the enemies and bullets be physics objects. I also really like how the mouse cursor is invisible and instead you get a gun that shows you where you’re aiming (though I’m not sure why the main character sprite is also holding a gun).
I kinda wish dying just resetted the current level, though (without resetting the timer, of course). :/
Also, it’s easy to get stuck in a wall while dashing. It’d be nice if the player continued moving until it no longer collided with the wall before the dash was complete.
Thx for the suggestions!
The idea is amaizing, and love the retro arcade style you gave to the screen, The music is awesome.
Tysm!
Love the dash through walls mechanic, I only wish we had an aiming indicator on the mouse to make it clearer where we're shooting. Music's really good
Thx for the suggestions!
I like the "Feel" of the effects
Thx!
It's a great way to play, and it could be even better with a little improvement.
Tysm!
Nice game, love the style. Good job
Pretty cool ideas in here. Besides things others have said I would suggest changing the movement to 8-directional movement so you can move diagonally and make it so movements don't cancel each other out, for example moving up overriding moving left. It is a something that would improve the "game feel" besides things you already have like screen shake.
Ok, thx for the suggestions!
I love the bullet ricochet mechanic and also the dash through walls mechanic. I also really dig the screen distortion similar to arcade machines. Good job! Please check out our game too!
I will when I’m able! Tysm!
I cant break or go through the walls how do I win?
You dash with left shift. Dashing lets you go through walls.
ok thanks
I liked all the gimmicks like how dashing made the walls go away for the enemies as well! And the bouncing bullets were also fun!
Tysm!
I like the ability to shoot through walls!
Thanks!
Nice little shooter. Physics sometimes seem a bit off, I could shoot through wall sometimes. Also, the monsters sometimes seem to cross walls.
Dashing seem so make the whole wall passable, which is a nice gimmick. With bullets and enemies passing through too. I also like the kind-of-CRT-monitor effect.
Please add a way to restart, I died faaaairly often - and refreshing the page all the time is a bit annoying.
I think the wall thing is pretty unique!
Hey, thanks for the suggestions! Also, your supposed to shoot through walls lol.
It wouldn’t let me add a description to this page, so let me add it here! All assets in this game were made by our team! (Except for menu music, which was made by compiled samples from looperman.com. THEY ARE ROYALTY FREE). Also the font is freeware: https://www.fontspace.com/teletactile-font-f44368
