I wasn't able to get far in this, but it's fun and I'd definitely try it again with a few changes. this is what I'd like to see personally:

- Iframes after taking damage

-larger difference in effects between dealing damage and killing an enemy

- whip should go left or right based on the position of the mouse if you're using left click, It feels weird otherwise especially with a gun that uses mouse position on right click

- you don't have to have a confirm screen after the chest is opened, pressing S on it is enough. the popup is annoying and stressful while trying to fight. It's especially unnecessary if it isn't going to have an item description. I would actually like that you have to figure it out if it wasn't for this screen.

I think that's pretty much it. I really like your games, keep em coming. I'll be coming back to this one in a while (I like risk of rain, mine was gonna be similar to it as well before I changed it)

It shows an item description when you hover over the sprite, we’ll probably make it so that it shows changes and stuff no matter what, I 100% agree on all your points.

Very nice roguelike project! Unfortunately bugs that force the player to refresh the page (and liquidate bosses apparently) really take away from the enjoyment. The enemies were also quite tanky and it gets really difficult to survive if you let enemies build up and not go on a constant murder spree. But I'm still a big fan of the player, upgrades and enemy designs :)

Yeah, I would suggest alternating your attacks to keep the enemies at bay faster. The divekick has offensive properties and can do massive areal damage, and using the gun goes a long way; the slimes for example can be shot, and then finished off with a single whip attack.

Extrez came up with the name, ask him.

Idk I asked my girlfriend to name the character and she said that on the spot

Pretty fun Risk of Rain type game, things were a bit confusing when I first played, but everything else was pretty great

Thanks! Ror1 was a massive inspiration for us!
