The game had nice UI and a good soundtrack, the combat was clear and the sprites were well designed, one issue i had was that if slimes came form behind, i was unable to urn to fight them but instead had to walk through them so they would be in front of me,  very nice game nevertheless and i did enjoy what i played :) I could tell work went into this !

Interesting submission with nice artwork and animations, the punching didn't really seem to work very well for me as well as seemingly being hit when I wasn't close enough. Some improvements to the hit boxes, a reason to come back (score system or maybe levels) and I think more to dying and it would be improve the game a lot. Well done on a well made game to your team though.

The art style was very well done and the animations were solid. The enemies were designed very well and so was the main character. I really liked the menu design as well as the sound design of the game. The sound design fit the theme of the game and was a good high quality. I also enjoyed the effects of when a sprite is destroyed.

There were minor issues that I personally had with the game such as not having any recorded score; leading to not having much motivation to play the game for long. Another very minor issue that could be fixed with some polishing is that the enemy hit-boxes are noticeably bigger than the sprites themselves. I also found that the enemies spawn a little too quick, which means you die in quite unfair ways.
Besides the small issues, a solid game submission.

Good art work! Looked cool! Also liked the music. Was a nice touch. Controls were easy to use also.

Would have liked a scoring system of some sort to keep track of how many enemies you killed and a health bar maybe? Also, i would have liked the character to turn around so you can see that you're actually attacking. I just had to guess if i was killing them or not.  Also a scrolling aspect would have been cool to include. You can just run off the side of the screen and not see what youre doing otherwise.

Overall decent attempt!

I really love the pixel art, the enemies in particular are fantastic and animated really well - the death particles are a nice touch. I did have any issue with the punching where it seemed a light tap on the key wouldn't register, you had to hold is down for a tiny bit to punch. Once I found I could hold down the key to punch continuously the game kind of stopped posing a challenge.

I had fun with this, a with a few polishes here and there (score/end goal etc) this could be really engaging, nice one!

Solid game with really cool enemies - those slimes were awesome! I did find it a bit too difficult but all in all amazing game with a nice soundtrack - well done! :)

A decent attempt at making a beat-em-up game with some nice visuals, both with character and environment art, and some audio work. A decent level of player feedback with the particle effects when you or the slime are hurt and being able to differentiate between the two. A good foundation from which to build a game that could be placed on a marketplace.

However, I do feel like there is a difficulty problem. Firstly enemies spawn way too quickly for the attack speed/damage that the character is able to do, and sharing similar hitbox size it is difficult to avoid getting hit whilst doing damage without some form of block or technical movement. Due to the lack of sprite flipping it is hard to tell whether you are attacking the slimes on the left at all which can make the game quite frustrating to play. In addition, making the game endless strips the game of any goal which makes justifying continued engagement difficult. Finally, you can just walk off screen in any direction and continue doing so making the game loop forever with nothing happening which doesn't necessarily scream "engaging gameplay".

On the whole, it is evident that significant effort was made with the game, particularly surrounding the visuals of the game, however there is room for improvement with the gameplay itself. I think that this is a good submission despite the issues. Good work.

Really competent and fun attempt.

I loved the sound work and spritework, and the simple animations with the simple controls and movement options made the game easy and satisfying to play... Most of the time.

I found an issue where if you got hit while attacking, the game would seemingly ignore your inputs to attack back for a few seconds (you could still move however). If this was an intention mechanic of some description, please let me know, however if this is the case it was not conveyed in any way.

I feel like the enemy spawning rate accelerated a little too quickly, as I found myself getting overwhelmed after about 10 seconds. I feel it could be toned down a little, or perhaps have some stronger enemy variants show up from time to time to increase the pressure in a different way.

Aside from this, this was a fun little game to spend some time with. Well done!

A good attempt at this type of game, I liked that your background music fit well within the artwork of the forest and surviving the slimes, these and the character art were well made but did find it challenging when slimes were coming from behind as was unsure on how to turn around without getting hurt from the slimes, it was good that you included an instructions area on the main screen as it gives the player the right idea on what to press to survive. well done
