A cool game with a great art style, I love the spike in difficulty that shined through once you reached certain sections of the level. I have a bit of feedback on what I feel could be improved though.

  • 1. There should be an indication when the player is charging up their shot. I thought I had broken the game when I held down the spacebar for the first time
  • 2. Although simplicity is often better than excruciating detail, the menu felt lacklustre as the background was busy, but there was no title of the game, there was no text at all, just a play and a quit button.
  • 3. This one isn't as much about the gameplay or so, but I'm not entirely sure what I'm fighting, at least when it comes to those fleshy eye things. From the title, I got the sense this was something like fighting robots or similar, but it felt like the actual enemies were more organic in nature. It's just a small thing, doesn't really matter, but thought I'd mention it regardless

There was also a definite lack of polish, I'd say. There should probably be a background track, some sound effects when shooting, a bit more animations and visual effects maybe, just an overall coat of polish would do this game justice

Really good job on this game! I loved the design of the game! Looked great art wise and also worked really well. Didnt find too many buggy things with it! I like that it had the turrets as well as the moving enemies. I also really liked the range of movement you had!

I would have been nice to have something tell you that you can destroy the blocks and shoot big bullets. One thing i did come across was that you can get stuck behind the blocks and lose your ship but the game continues to play.

Overall. Great submission well done!

Art was good, the bullets work fine however I can't tell the difference between enemies and bosses very well, and this is made harder without a timer or score counter. The flying is good and I like that the bullet patterns go in more directions than just forward (diagonally). Good game!

A good submission, the artwork works really well with the theme/concept, it plays out quite nicely and there's enough difficulty to keep your attention. The boss definitely looks awesome.

I feel that there could have more feedback for the boss, something to show that bullets aren't going to work until an opportunity arises, rather than them going right through. Turret sprites would also look and feel better if they were to face the player when shooting.

However it was an enjoyable game, well done.

Really solid submission, the sprites are great (I particularly love the final boss) and the game provides a good level of challenge. The fact that you can hide behind cover to escape enemy fire is definitely nice touch. The boss fight really stands out with its different attack cycles and exposing the heart for you to shoot at. Nice job everyone!

Good game - the visuals look nice and the gameplay is smooth. The addition of health packs was a really nice touch. You should all be really proud :)

A good game, liked that you made a menu screen to start with a picture of one of the enemies displayed on the screen, did find this challenging but in a good way as it made me want to play the game for longer and try and survive for longer in a previous attempt, from this I liked that you included health along the way which was useful when I had taken a lot of damage but feel that audio and sound effects would have made this game stand out even better also once I had died there was no way to quit the game and would just continue in a loop, but other than that I can tell a lot of hard work was put into this so well done all!
