I feel like this game might be one of my favorites of the jam so far. It gives you that subtle feeling that something’s wrong, and a nice sense of tension. Couple that with the art style and you have a really good game! I hope you expand on it in the future :)

Thank you so much!

I really appreciate the kind words and feedback when thinking about how I could expand the core premise.

Beautiful art-style and audio design. Nailing the theme and atmosphere

I really liked the unsettling atmosphere and the "security camera" type graphics. I was always wondering who was going to come in the door next!

I think if you were to expand on the game, I wanted to move throughout the hotel, like when the guests phoned for something I wanted to go and actually physically do it, maybe it could be a bit of a puzzle like trying to figure out where to get whatever item they wanted, and when you gave it to them you could see a bit of whatever was happening in their room. Or maybe you go to deliver it and the person is missing or something.

But it definitely captured the horror/eldritch atmosphere even in just one room, great job!

Thank you for playing!

Yea, being able to move around to other parts of the hotel would have given more options on how to handle guest requests and interactions.  I felt early on that I wanted to keep things to a single view/location but it definitely added a lot of restrictions in player choice.

Really appreciate the feedback!

Really engaging experience, Interesting art style and pacing.

When I was playing I wonted there to be more! I would of liked a series of challenges that are overcome by continued interaction and management of the guests. Oh and the time display screen and sound effect were really good.

Developer

Thank you for the kind words and feedback!

I'm definitely taking those suggestions on board in thinking how I could flesh out the interactions.

holy, this game is awesome! from the art to the story and the ambience to the ding constanly changing pitches when you click it! I like how you also can choose which room you give eto which person. the only point of feedback i ahve isn't even that much of feedback, because i think it would be cool if you could go upstairs and help the customers with their complaints or get to look at the rooms when you choose them. but that is the only feedback i could come up with, awesome game!

Developer

Thank you!  I really appreciate it.

I would definitely have liked to have some way of actioning the requests from guests.  Hopefully I'll find some time to return to it and flesh that aspect out further.

Oh my! The ambiance of this game is incredible. The art style is really my cup of tea. But my only complaint is that the background sound is panning too much to the left ear. I hope you will continue to make new games! GG!

Thank you!  Glad you liked it.

I'll look into that sound issue alongside some other planned bug fixes.  Thanks for the feedback.

Loved this one, absolutely nailed the Lovecraftian vibes!

Can really see the stuff with the room placements and decisions about whether or not to fulfil the guests' requests becoming important decisions in a more developed version.

Having the time progress was so good for the presentation and framing of everything, and when it all "kicked off" the art was fantastic; it was dripping with atmosphere!

Thank you for playing!

I definitely would have liked to provide more player agency throughout.  I'd like to return to it and see how I can flesh out those aspects.

That was incredible! The art fits so well and I love all those creepy moments!

This game is so well-polished I’m really impressed. I tried to place the guests away from other occupied rooms when they requested but don’t know if that changed anything about the outcome. Also, I rang the bell exactly when the sheriff shot and thought I was the one who initiated it lol. But it turns out it was just a coincidence. Some additional interaction like that would really help the game feel more reactive, as at times it felt like you couldn’t tell if you should be doing something.

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words!

I had plans early on for more interactions and influence over events by the player, but a lot of that fell to the wayside as it progressed and had to prioritise my time.  Will see about returning to some of those initial ideas post-jam :)
