That’s a very neat concept and surprisingly engaging (surprising for me anyway, I’m an outsider to the genre) and fun(ny). I agree with the Nerds about the UI/UX points, but otherwise this is a very promising concept. I have a hunch a more fleshed out version could work well as a mobile game too.

I think this game has a lot of potential and you could go even further with the butterfly designs. The graphics are nice, the colours of the butterflies could perhaps be more pastel to complete the overall picture, but that is just a small detail. I noticed that the butterflies flicker from time to time, I wonder what they are doing at that moment :) Overall a nice and cosy concept. Nicely done ^^
This one instantly caught my eye. I love that you pulled in real biology with Mendel genetics ! This is great and would be a really cool idle game, if you'd expand the world a bit... I love it a lot. But now for the game, I feel the style is not always consistent, which is really important in games like this. The concept is great, but it feels like it needs a bit more work to iron it all out. This is completely normal during the scope of a game jam. Other than that, very cosy and casual gameplay. I know for a fact my toddler would love a finished butterfly game like this !
I feel like this one can improve to a great cozy game if given more longevity and adapting the gameplay to a more idle product. Like adding a book to register new butterflies and planting new flowers to provide nectar to the cute little butterflies.
I feel like the visuals could blend in better together but still achieves a nice cozy feel, and the butterflies being the main part they do look very nice.

I was really impressed with the butterfly mutation mechanic, it felt like I could spend loads of time on it and find all sorts of combinations. Well done.
I thought visual were super cute but I think you can definitely improve in terms of making it feel more cohesive.
The weight feels of the eggs felt really nice so I think the Shop UI and inventory was maybe unnecessary.

Very cute concept. I love butterflies :)
I was confused at first because they didn’t seem to produce their own eggs for me though. I only got the eggs from the shop (and I did play / let it be idle on my screen for a while) and clicking on the big heart didn’t seem to do anything :( But then I clicked on Tutorial again and realised that it can be hidden and after THAT breeding menu came out xD And I could start finally making new coloured eggs!
I liked how even from base eggs the butterflies were coming out slightly different. A bit darker or lighter shade, combinations of two shades. Nice attention to detail!
Some combinations looked quite pretty, too, with gentler colour palettes and more interesting shades ^^ And the results make sense based on general rules of mixing colours.
In the end, I enjoyed the game after figuring out how to play it, thought it was quite sweet and relaxing <3

P.S. I noticed you credited artists in the team but also used pre-made assets. Could you specify how much of external assets did you use in this project? :3
some tiles , and mouse icon and X icon was premade as far i know

by mutations you mean something different to just mixing colours and having different shades? maybe I haven’t noticed it..?
every part can be unique colors yes . like u can hv a butterfly by end with red wing 1 , blue wing 2, golden head . blac tail so on
Ah I see what you mean! I think I got some combos of that but not the golden one I believe, maybe I’ll go for another round ^^
