Very nice game, Java! Who would have guessed that pinball and Tamagoitchi could work together? I didn't, but you surely did, and it appears to be a cool and amazing combo!

I love the sound effects making it very entertaining, as well as the amazing art! Very well done!

Incredibly fun game. You've implemented so many great ideas, there was even a little breakout mini-game integrated, brilliant. I like the art style so much. The bally cat is absolutely gorgeous. Your wife did a great job on the backgrounds also, they look fantastic. I only got to level 3 once, I  guess I missed one or two great details you included, because I was unable to reach higher levels. The amount of detail you put into your game is very astonishing, concerning the short amount of time of the jam. The left right movement of the pinball pad thingys are a tiny bit to slow for my taste. I would also prefer moving the pads with the mouse and use left right mouse button for activating them. Just a thought.

This is an adorable and innovative entry to such a short gamejam, I had lots of fun!

I just wish the "level" was not a square to allow the chonky to always be within player's input at some point but it was still overall an awesome idea combined with cute graphics and nice audio feedback.

Very nice work!

It's a really intresting concept, multi-level pinball with Tamagotchi mechanics, very original.

Audio and Graphics are cute and mesh very well togheter!

Gameplay wise, i find it a little hard "directing" the chonky boi where i wanted, but to me it's understandable given the time and the uniqueness of the mechanics, not easy to balance on first try, nice job!

Amazing work @JavaSaurus.

Don't let the little bugs put you down, this was a beautiful entry. I especially loved the sound design with the squishy toy sound and the pin-ball sounds.

Would love to give this another go after you get that post-jam patch in.

Love the idea to combine pinball with virtual pets! I liked the visuals and the sounds were cute.

Gameplay-wise though, I found myself getting frustrated. The physics did not feel properly tuned to this type of game. When hitting the pet with the paddles, they would rarely go where I expected or intended them to go. I would take my time to line up shots on the bottom level, only to get an unpredictable result each time. Additionally, the areas sometimes felt very open for what you'd expect from a pinball game.

I liked that you could choose which area to put the pet in, and it was really cool that the bar would go up depending on where you were located. Tuning the physics to be more predictable and less floaty would really help bring this concept to life!

I managed to do a few things before I got stuck as well like a fellower commenter:

Got to see the kitchen, the toilet, and then when I chose sleep my cat went to play destroying rectangular blocks in the middle of the screen xD

I was looking forward to this game because pinball. I like the mechanic of pinball itself and think it’s very fun. And I did have fun playing this game as well, though the pinball mechanic felt quite… curious here.

First of all, lots of time I can kinda “brute force” it by simply clicking Space energetically. It doesn’t matter if my cat touches any Pinball objects on the screen, there would still be a significant result.

Secondly, I am not sure if physics of pinball make any sense here or not as I did feel as if my actions correspond with game’s reaction, but at the same time it felt very chaotic.

On topic of art, I think the pictures you drew all look very cute (especially the toilet XD); what about backgrounds, are they assets from somewhere? They are quite pretty but don’t seem to match your style that I see here.

I’d like to try it again once you solve the issue with the kitty getting stuck =^v^=

Nice graphics and good idea, that’s fun to play.

I passed the second level but during the choosing screen the “cat” went down to the first and i got locked on that. image.png
