I must admit this game is very polished, the art style is very consistent and the music with some effects are made almost perfectly (especially for each instrument which starts to play when the jammy is fit well). This game seems to be free from any bugs, but I have two issues which could be considered to be resolved, the break between “stages” is a bit too long or could be skipped by key. The second, the time needed to complete a level could be more balanced: for harder one, switching between jammy (color) variants takes a lot of time and (also) I was unable to finish the last stages due to lack of time.
Really fun memory game. Graphics are great and the music compliments the gameplay nicely (especially with the additive instruments getting added in as more people get added to the stage. Got to the end with no failures. Don't think the timer needs to be adjusted since I still had half the time for pretty much all of them (including the last one)
Strategy was to memorize the chain of colors from left to right and then the first letters of what I call each of the objects to help me remember those
Memory is not a skill of mine but this is wholesome. Cute, polish and with a good gameloop that fit the theme so good. Awesome work! :D
Amazing entry, I was watching this getting built from scratch and my god... you guys are so talented. I love a good memory training game, but this was really stretching my brain... Super impressive !
I can just say, amazing graphics, amazing sounds and music, amazing animation, amazing particles, my skill to remember more than 3 things at a time, not so amazing. Jokes aside, this entry sets the bar very high. The artstyle looks sooo awesome, I am very impressed. All the little details here and there makes it stand out. Just one thing, I feel the theme a little less fitting than other entries, but that's complaining on a very high level.
Awesome you joined the jam and contributed that crazy good game.
Going for the first thing that stands out when you first load the game, I wish I could cuddle those art assets! It's beyond adorable and everything fits so nicely together! I love the overall texture applied, pumps up the cozy to a whole new level, nice work!
As far as the code goes, very well done and polished product as expected, yet very impressive for such a short gamejam! I found it harder once you got a full band, maybe tweak the timer according to the number of active jammies on stage? Just a thought for the future.
And last but not least, there's no Jammies without the tunes! I was super happy to see Mmyse collaborating on this one and I'm not disappointed. Nice work!
Overall a very impressive and polished product under 72h, nice work Nerds!
The amount of polish in this is ASTOUNDING, really professional, YO-HOO JAMMIE! the gameplay loop is a nice variant of the classic memory game, of course the polish make it super-juicy and enjoyable to play, congratulations guys!
A simple idea executed incredibly well - another great example of the the 2NerdyNerds M.O. right there. The Nerds built this game live on stream and it was a joy to watch, not to mention chock-full of valuable lessons in game design and jam science. Anyone who’s trying to up their game jam game (ouch) should be taking notes furiously right about now.
The visuals and the audio in this game complement each other so well, it’s nuts. They are both edible (well, I wish) and create a super cozy atmosphere which helps a lot with the fact that the game becomes quite challenging towards the end for memory-impaired nerds like me. I managed to complete the game for the first time with three failures (one with a quartet, two with a quintet) and zero frustration. That sounds like a very well balanced game to me.
The UI/UX is almost perfect, my only tiny problem was with selecting the colours of the jammies, as I was trying to rush things and I overshot it a few times. I’d love to be able to go in either forward and back with the colour selection, or possibly a one-click method (eg. have tiny swatches for each colour above each jammie). There’s also an opportunity for an easy post-jam fix: the game window doesn’t scale up in full screen mode at the moment.
Congratulations Myse, Selene & Bernardo, and thanks for all the inspiration again!
An extremely stylish, polished experience that is simply too cute! The visual style and the audio design does a lot to evoke a feeling of childlike wonder. This is a very strong submission, given the time constraints.
The game play concept is easy to pick up on, and I found it to be executed masterfully. Though the inclusion of a time limit changes the game's vibe a little, I understand the need for it. Without one, players will realize they can cheat fairly easily, and even if they don't intend to, the knowledge that they could will slowly pull them out of the experience.
A joy to play and watch! Thank you for supporting this Game Jam.
Very fun little game. Very polished and entertaining! Well done Nerds and Mmyse!
It’s really pretty, visually game drew me in, and that is still my favourite aspect of it. Especially the colour palette of it ^^
The gameplay is cool, it’s hard and time limits do stress me out, but it feels polished, well done, and for people who enjoy memory games I feel like it would be just perfect.
Music is sweet and melodic, which I really enjoyed, as well as audio effects from the artists on scene.
I wouldn’t have guessed the theme if I didn’t know what it is but that’s not the most important part :D The game is good and super impressive how you did so much in such a short time!
kinda confusing, great visual polish tho!
This is the perfect mix of cute and addictive!! I really enjoy the Tamagotchi element of feeding the right item to the right jammies, and the memory game aspect which makes it both a challenge and a joy to play.
For the time it took to make this game stands out it has such a polished look and feel to it.
