A nice little story, worth reading.
Although it's a VN, I really like the interactivity given here, it's not something I'd even expect of a VN. The art and the writing, top notch.
I featured this advanced(?) VN in my showcase video!

Beautiful art, hand drawn, and fitting for the game! The ingredients to choose and dialogue was fun with the characters.
This is a fine VN, any given choice gives funny results, I tried to "lose" at some point but I guess there's no way you can do that xD.
Even so, Im glad this wasn't that long, I had a great time, some relax "Cafe de Touhou"-like audio would be nice, but overall, the whole thing was very neat.
Pretty art and fun dialogue, its a 10 for me.
I’m not terribly big on VNs, but I’m glad I got to play this one. I appreciate how the central theme is about chilling out and to not be stressed-out when dealing with your friends. A surprisingly realistic life lesson.
However, I am a bit confused about the way the drink mixing part of the game proceeded, as I assume we were playing from Satori’s point of view. It didn’t seem like Satori’s ability to read minds was ever explicitly invoked, making the whole sequence feel like a guessing game. Perhaps a consequence of jam time constraints, or perhaps that was the point and I’m missing it?
I definitely think we ended up with a lack of context around the mind-reading, and I can see how it doesn't necessarily feel like you're pulling ingredients out of people's brain garbage. We wanted to do something with the idea that mind-reading would involve being confronted with several bits of information, but then because of the general atmosphere we wanted, we made it so that there isn't a wrong answer, which maybe confuses the issue. It might've made more sense as a more specific mechanic, like something that opened up extra options.
I'm glad I played this. I normally avoid VNs since they tend to be wordy and not what I look for in game jam entries, but since you advertised this as a micro-VN, I decided to give it a go. The visuals are gorgeous and the game has a nice feel-good feel to it. It's a shame that there is no music, I think it would have improved the experience even further. The timer and the choices do a good job of establishing an illusion of gameplay, which is probably good enough for a micro-VN (and it made me curious enough to look into the source code to see what all the choices do).
Like most ren'py games, the Windows export also has the shell script needed to launch the game on Linux included, so you could add that as a listed platform without uploading any new files.
Thanks for playing and commenting (and mentioning the thing about how Renpy builds distributions). Yeah, we didn't really want it to be possible to fail outright due to the choices anyway, but we had a bunch of ideas for additional character responses and alternate endings that we abandoned around 2am Sunday when we realized we still needed to make sure we had any kind of a coherent beginning, middle, and end.
I absolutely LOVE the art style of this, it's so lovely. Followed on socials cuz I definitely want to see more
The dialogue in this is so cute and fun, it was a really enjoyable experience
It put a big ol' smile on my face all the way through.
I was looking forward to any ren'py entries in this jam, and this did not disappoint! Definitely one of those games where I think "Aw man, it's over already?" right before I wonder how this was managed in just a few days.
The art is super high quality and cute, but considering I've only played a couple games so far with a major focus on writing, the funny and casual dialogue is what really elevated this for me. Yamame's line about her mother definitely got me.
My one critique would have been that this has no sound, but as soon as I realized that when starting the game, I put on some Cafe de Touhou and everything was just fine.
a lot of super good sprites??? incredible. doesn't use default ren'py font? polished. it's a good one
Absurdly fun writing and visuals (Okuu in particular is just. so good.) Kinda disappointed there wasn't any music to go with it but everything that was there felt super polished. Thanks for making!
The art and writing is excellent. I liked that it's implied Orin stayed behind to be with Satori too, that was cute. Satori trying to get close to others reminds me of an old cartoon plot like Ed Edd and Eddy but for love instead of candy. Very good stuff!
Haha, "good Cartoon Network show" is sort of the energy I want, so I'll take it. Thanks.
As a general comment, all these comments have been really nice, and we both appreciate it even if we don't get around to replying to them all. I feel bad that I haven't had much time away from work to play many of the other games. But I will sometime this week for sure.
Funny, and very heartwarming, with awesome art. I wish there was music to complete
I know nothing about touhou but this was funny and the sprites were nice.
This is a nice vn, the art is very cute! Also Satori is a mood
