I love this SO much that when i first played it, i immediately started getting ideas and urges to make it better! It's fun, creative, especially the crosshairs on the lasers make it very easy to adjust the aiming. It instantly reminds me of games like Cosmoteer and I think it would become an amazing game if it gets an aimable laser prism inspired by that game. The screenshots are just begging for some complex laser action!

Really Nice Game, Fits The Theme Very well and I Love the art , Great Job!
I really smiled getting that first laser and seeing how big it was, very satisfying. If I had more time i think I could have cleared the map. great work!
The music, graphics and idea were all awesome! The gameplay however... was also awesome!
Really cool idea. I didn't expect pixel art this pretty for a game made in 6 hours and the music is cool ! I like the simple gameplay really well executed, I'm curious how you made the lasers sized by how far is the wall (staying in pixel art) and the adaptative tilemap (walls change if there is another wall broken next to it) so quick, could you please tell me how you did it ? Anyway great game, really good job !
Thank you! I use raycasts to determine the length, then a Line2D node for rendering the beam. By setting the scaling mode (in project settings) to viewport and using a low resultion the beam gets pixelated automatically!
For the adaptive terrain I used tilemaps with the autotilling/terrain system. Creating the art for the tileset can take a lot of time but I've made my own tool for speeding up that process significally.
But in short, the things you're asking about are all more or less built into Godot.
Yeaaaah, realizing I could move the lasers around definitely made a big difference. I know you put the crosshair on them and had it in the instructions but somehow I completely missed it at first. And using the lasers to clear things out IS satisfuing. Clever mechanic and being a badger is underrated so thats also a plus.
honestly i tought it was kinda lame until i realized that you can reangle the lazers,
the graphics and audio are top-notch
This was fun to play! It definitely fits the theme well, and feels very polished for what's there so far!
Reaaaally enjooooooyed it ! and I am happy to be the first to play it, first destroying your drill with another drill directed to it was unexpected and added some strategy to placing them, and the ability to continue after 1000 was another surprise. Great Job !
Thank you! I felt like it would be highly unrealistic and feel unresponsive if the laser couldn't damage other lasers and the player, so I added it. And considering there is a lot of stone left even after 1000 tiles I knew some people would want to continue playing. At the moment of writing this, a friend is playing the game and is trying to clear out the entire game area. He is at 5500 tiles out of around 6000 and has played for 45 minutes.
