This was an incredible example of world design. You have a world that's seems very open but still managed to guide me along a path through use of the switches. Long areas always manage to drop you off right back at home at the end. I hope you continue to build on that skill since it's the cornerstone of 'metroidvanias' which are my favorite type games! Lack of ammo really had me thinking about the shots I took. It would be nice to have some background music to really lay in that alone feeling. Really well done good game :)
thank u so much!
Shooting the zombies was a lot of fun! I wish I had known not to kill any zombies my first time around...I totally could have juked them. Great game!
Thank you so much for making the constructive video! I will use your points in the future for my next game! Appreciate it and I will check out your game.
I hope you play our game as I played your game
Pretty fun, although I'm not entirely sure what the health did: when I lost a life, I got sent back somewhere, but not to the start, and not to a place that I had, when getting there for the first time, expected it to do anything special. And if I respawned and there were several zombies blocking the "exit" towards the space where I had to collect syringes, that made it sorta hard to get out and reach them. Maybe the positions of non-dead zombies could have been reset when the player respawns. I could also have wanted some music and sound effects, but I guess it was hard to fit the time for that into the one week you had to make the game. And the pixel art was nice, although the player's gun looked a bit weird.
It was pretty decent. But some music and more sound effects would of been nice. Anyway, pretty good for a first game!
Neat game idea! The only comment I have is that one time, I was inside the green area, but the zombies still managed to attack me. Other than that, cool! If you have the time, I'd appreciate it if you could also play my game!
This game is a cool idea. The only problem I had was the gun controls felt a bit weird and the scale was a bit off. The pixel art however was amazing. Great job! I'd love if you could check out my game too.
What a nice and enjoyable game. Loved it!
It'll be nice if you check out our game too (:
Good game! Enjoyed running round the map. The zoom for the maze was a nice touch. Really needs some music/sfx though. Nice moral choice with shooting or saving your friends.
nice little game ^^
I liked the maze part it was really fun.
please take the time to play and rate my submission ==> https://itch.io/jam/vimjam/rate/768154
ok! Thank you
Really nice. Quite a big map for the time, but then, you weren't alone.
And ooh, I get punished for shooting zombies!
Well done!
Im glad you enjoyed.. Thank you!
I killed lots of zombie friends :(
ripp
When you say limited ammo... you don't mess around! found 3 bullets and because my aim is awful I ran out of bullets immediately haha then had to avoid everything. Why are there cannons firing on an empy camp site, this is cruel (they got me). I managed to find 2 needles but with no ammo and a terrible sense of direction I died :(
Yea this game can get pretty crazy. Thank so much for playing!
I had a lot of fun! great job on your first game ^^
Thank you!
Cool game! A little something different than the other games I've played so far. I thought the ammo was a little too limited based on the number of zombies there were and the zombie's for the most part were pretty easy to avoid. I liked it! 8 out of 10.
If you have time I would love it if you played and rated my game :)
thank you so much: will do
short , simple and much fun :D
I specially liked the fact that there was different endings :)
I am so mean and killed all my zombie friends I was supposed to save >_<
keep up the good work ;)..
would love for you to try our submitions as well and give your feedback ;)
pretty good game! the pixel resolution should probably be more consistent though. The zombie free zones are a great mechanic and give you some breathing room from zombies without stopping them from being the threat. Great work! It would mean a lot if you could check out my Jam submission if you get the chance. Thanks!
nice game, better then my first game.
tips for your next games:
1) try convey more with less text at the start, maybe even record yourself.
2) if you are making a pixel art style game you should try make all the sprites the same resolution and make all the pixels the same size.
but very nice work for a first game :)
Thank you so much for the feedback. I agree with the resolution for pixels, my friend and I are very new to pixel art so we ditched the idea of pixel per unity counts at the very beginning. And you are right about the tutorial, I had so many ideas to explore in the game it was hard to put it down in a time friendly manner.
