What category are you in?

Intermediate

How does your game relate to the theme?
You are required to switch between an Angel and Demon form, which are polar opposite concepts. Both forms also have opposite gameplay mechanics; Demon form has increased horizontal mobility and can damage enemies and objects but lacks in vertical mobility, while Angel form has flight and can activate light sensors but cannot deal any damage and moves slower horizontally.

Specify any and all pre-made assets in your submission.

How many team members does your team have in total?

Anything else you would like us to know?
I couldn't upload an html version because Unreal Engine 5 doesn't export in the format without plugins, so the Judges will have to download the zip.

very nice Game! I like the grafics, theme also is Interpreted very well. It was a bit hard sometimes so you might want to Balance a Bit.

Very nice work!

Cool Game!
Was fun, rushing for the door and killing the lil dudes and flying around.
Well done and Good Job!

I think overall this game is very good. I think the graphics look nice, the theme is interpreted better than most games, and the animations look extremely polished and well done. I think the gameplay was mostly enjoyable to use but I found some puzzles to be a bit too tight to beat and were a bit too pretty difficult, especially in the early game. However, for the 72 deadline, I can't be too critical. I think this game is very well done and it would be nice to see this game expanded on. peak game.

Developer

Thanks for the review! I'll try to ensure that the difficulty curve is less steep with future updates. I'm glad you enjoyed it otherwise!

Feels very polished. The movement and form-transition is smooth. Gameplay made so much fun that i jumped in the “playground” after game for while. The game could been a bit darker though. Keep it up!

Thanks for the review! I will see if I can use darker textures (I assume your complaint is about the white floor tiles?) to make it easier on the eyes. I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

EDIT: The Linux version exported with white walls, they were supposed to be blue. I see how you found that too bright. Sorry!

That is really good game! Especially for 3-days Jam. Enjoyed your puzzles and restarted only once. Character animations+SFX is awesome.
I found it hard to kill turrets without taking damage, but maybe it was meant this way.
Also control impact is too low when flying. I'd rather make it so you can completely change direction in ~one second.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! Even I can't kill the turrets without taking damage, so I might implement a stun-on-hit mechanic to make destroying the turrets feel a little better. I also think I will increase the air control while flying since I've already gotten comments on that.  Thanks for playing!

Life-changing. Phenomenal. Revolutionary.

Tears were shed at my 14 dollar desk, and the course of my life have been changed forever. As Shakespeare himself put it, "Doth art thoueth true peak cinema."

p.s I think you should put in a setting that lets you move the holy beam slightly lower for the holy pee that defined the development phase.

The puzzles were extremely well thought out! I was veryyy much getting portal vibes from each room, so that was awesome. The only issues I have (that I have also faced with my own unreal projects as well) was the looking speed and acceleration, as well as the jumping/flying acceleration where it takes your initial jump’s direction and continues to apply acceleration, even if you try to fly or jump the opposite way (not sure if I explained that properly). It didn’t really interfere with gameplay that much tho since you get used to it!

All in all, it was super fun to play!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I thought I noticed the acceleration in the mouse movement while testing but I couldn't really tell if it was there since I'm used to high sensitivity. If/when I update the game, I'll also see if I can add a sensitivity slider. I was considering giving at least the angel form some extra air control to make flying easier too. Thank you for the feedback!

Great game! Honestly one of my favorite ones that I've played so far. It was very simple but also very challenging, especially with getting all of the timing right (I liked the first level a lot). I could see it becoming some sort of speedrun game in the future. I would love to see each side have more abilities in the future, but other than that, I really liked it.
