A good twist on a very overused concept this jam. Liked it :)

Jumping felt a bit weird and floaty, and the death sound was just awful.

Pretty cool :)

A polished game, with nice graphics and sound, and overall, funny as hell, enjoyed a lot!

pd: the level 4 was the hardest

Simple idea, but very well executed. Limiting the number of times you can die adds an extra layer of difficulty that is very welcome! The sound effects and music fit the visuals very well. Good job!

If you can, please consider paying and rating my game :)

I've played a lot of games that had the idea with corpses after death. But no one has limited it so far. A limitation makes the game much more strategic, which i like a lot. Unfortunately, it is also very frustrating when you die and have to do everything from beginning.

It would have been nice if the corpses remaind lying around after death and you can reset them with R.

Overall i think this game is awesome, with a good concept.

Limiting the number of corpses is good idea! Game could have been a little more fast paced as we have to repeat the same level each time we die. And the hitbox of the crown could be smaller as it's really hard to climb on lol

Awesome game, really fits the theme well, killing the player and returning to complete the level is the failure for progress! enjoyed the game, reached around level 4 or 5 where there were 3 long towers and player had 4 lives, I kept falling down, lol. you deserve 5 stars for creativity and theme for sure, good luck for the jam! :)

Nice job with this. The game is pretty cool and the art is nice too! I found the movement a little odd, but got used to it after a while. Overall, really nice game!

Pretty solid and simple game :) The idea is great also the art was nice. You did an amazing job!  I really liked the game but I got stuck on level 3 with 4 corpses lol. Great game! Oh and I will also appreciate if you can rate my game :) Thanks!

This was a very solid entry. Music, visuals, and the main gameplay mechanic were all well done. The music caught my attention immediately lol. Like others have said already there is a relatively big difficulty spike on the level with 4 corpses, but overall this was super fun to play! Great job!

Awesome first jam entry! The art was nice, and the gameplay mechanic was sweet! I liked the background tree element and the tile set especially! The game has a really steep difficulty / information spike on this level:

Up until that point, I had assumed that corpses were affected by gravity, as it doesn't make a whole lot of sense for them to float.  I think it is fine to have that as a mechanic, but you need to introduce it in an easier level with less moving parts. Also I died countless times by holding right then dying, causing me to walk off the platform and die again.

Overall good game, hope you keep at it!

I enjoyed this game a lot, I thought the concept was unique and lent itself to a lot of different gameplay puzzles.

If you wanted to improve, I suggest forcing the player to release a key before control can be given over a new character. I died a lot from just holding down the key after death.

Overall, fun game!

Nice entry for a first jam, the last level was a bit claustrophobic but was still enjoyable, good job !

Developer

Thank you! Haha yeah I agree with you, next jam I'll play around with camera control a bit.

I enjoyed the concept of the game and the animation was good. I also wish falling didn’t end the level.

Developer

Thanks! I can't take credit for the animations as that came straight from the asset pack I used, but glad you enjoyed!

Awesome! I wish falling didn't end the level though. Also, when you die the momentum carrying on and killing your next guy can be very frustrating.

Developer

Thank you!

Yeah I made falling end that one level because it's impossible to win once you get down there - will try to find more ways to let players be creative in future.
