Simple and sweet game, but the artstyle is all over the place, hand-drawn, simple pixel shapes, old tv screen.

Submitted(+1)

That was rather nice actually. Short, sweet and calming. The aesthetics were nice and peaceful and I loved how the character looked as hand-drawn as possible lol.  The levels of the game looked a little out of place wrt the backdrop though. I kind of wish the platforms in the levels also looked sort of handrawn.

Maybe something similiar to the style of the player would have been perfect. Badly drawn rectangles or something of that sort. I'm also not sure if this was intentional but something about having the cube rotate by a step  was so satisfying lol. The implementation of the theme is rather nice actually. I thought it was a little frustrating at first having to go back to the previous level, but it made sense and was used nicely when you got to the end and had to get to the first level.

The music was great as well, not really any faults wrt sound. This was a great entry overall and I honestly enjoyed it. Well done :)

Thank you so much for your productive and comprehensive feedback! I'm definitely exploring your idea of hand drawn platforms on post-jam updates :D

Glad you enjoyed the game :)

Good Game ,,

Check out my game too: D

Really well done game, but for the love of me I can't find the exit. I tried going back to the first level, just on top of the door at previous to last etc., nothing seems to work? Is there something i'm missing or is there a bug

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you playing! You're so so close! Spoiler: You'll have to unlock the door with a key! You can find a key on the 3rd or 4th level, and go back. I would highly recommend you to try it and rate the game again :)

Submitted(+1)

Aaa, just did, neat little trick, but easy to miss :D Can't rate it again, but don't worry, rated it very highly anyway, and this ending didn't take from it at all!

Submitted(+1)

I loved the clever ending and also this game reminded me of a flash game called how to make a game which has a similar art style.

Really cool game! I love the visuals (We have similar visuals :D)! Very simple, short and sweet. Keep it up!

Submitted(+1)

Super love the visuals, got a bit confused on that goal screen but overall I super enjoyed my time! Love the music a ton, perfect choice.

Developer(+1)

I should have made it more clear.. the exit is actually on the 1st level, and you'll have to go back with a key. Have you reached the true ending? If not, I highly encourage you to try and rate again!

I getchu! I'll try it out later!!

Very good looking and  pretty interesting game. ;-)

i really like the game .well done

Submitted(+1)

I like it. The twist was pretty interesting.

I really like the idea of these kind of "Elevator" Games, where failing sends you down, and winning sends you up, i just wish it was explored more in here, and i think the VCR effect was kinda unneeded if the game is already taking place on a notebook. Good game!

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

Game is very cute and good, I didn't understand the level where it says to go back where you came from
Good Work!

Developer

Thank you for playing! SPOILER: Actually the aim of the game is to escape the notebook, in the end it is revealed that the exit is on the first level, so you'll have to go back. I should have made it more obvious.. you're missing the best part of the game so perhaps you can try and rate the game again?

Submitted(+1)

Yeah, I'll try it out again in a bit :D

Great job! I really liked this :)

You wont get why the game fits the theme of the gamejam, unless you play it!

I dont really want to spoil too much, so i wont say much.

The game has nice visuals and sounds, is very polished and the games mechanics are verg good comunicated without saying it with text.

In general its a very good game, Good Job :)

Wow, great job, the best game i've played so far

At first I wasn't sure how the game fit the theme, until I got to the end and realised. I liked the idea of having to get the key and backtrach to the start. I also liked the art direction and the music fit well with the game.

The idea is awesome. At first i thought it was just a normal platformer but i was actually amazed when i got the idea of the game!

Submitted(+1)

Holy moly, I like this so much, it is my new favorite. Simple and just perfect. I only wish it would be longer, I would like to encourage you to extend the game after the jam.

Developer

Thank you so much! Definitely expanding the game post-jam :)
