The art and music are really nice, but the controls are indeed slippery. Nice approach and idea for the game though!

Nice little game! I agree with what others have said, though - the main critique is the very slidey controls. :P
Pretty good game for a 11 year old.
Tips for your next game jam are if you are gonna be using mainly assests (which is not a problem but may affect voting) focus a lot on your code and make things play nicely and are polished because this is the main part of your work.
Nonetheless good job for your first jam, especially at 11.
Cute looking game. But there are some issues:
- As others have mentioned, the character feels like hes moving on ice, i second that.
- The character stucks on walls. In Unity you can fix that by assign your collider component a physics material.
- If you die, the music stops playing.
In general, the game was fun to play, but also a bit short. But still good job though.
EDIT: Forget about the second issue, i just now realized that it was intended.
Well done on your game! Controls feel a bit funky as if moving on the ice, but other than that, good job!
If you are teaching the player how to play, I suggest not to put the tutorial outside the game, put the text in the game scene instead. If you really want to show the tutorial in the main menu, use pictures instead of a bunch of texts. BTW good work on your first game jam
Fun game I liked how you used the assets, interesting mechanics even the walking system seems a bit off and the fact that when you release the walk button you continue to walk :D
The character stills moves after keys are pressed but the game has great potential! Good Work!
Certainly interesting.
I can tell the assets were reused from the asset store, which is fine, but the visuals score wasn't good because of that.
I didn't really get that far due to a weird glitch where you continue moving after you let go of A and D
You can jump on the side of walls which is weird
The movement isn't really that polished, and there is nothing to make up for that. If movement in general isn't polished enough, it really helps to add an extra move or two to make up for that. For example, you could've added a double jump, or a dash, or something like that.
Music stops after you die, and the death screen and menu is really bland and might need some work.
The movement overall makes the entire game less playable and fun. All of the things i said combined, i would rate it overall around a 5/10.
Edit: great job on finishing the game though, not a lot of people actually finish short jams!
Edit 2: I realized the jumping on walls glitch might be intentional, but that also could've been a pesky bug that was hard to get rid of. Makes sense, since I do the same thing.
The slowdown on the controls was a bit much for me. It felt like I had Barely any control over the character. Well done on getting the game finished in time though
great graphics! the sound turns off when I press retry :/, but it's not a big issue. the character would keep moving after releasing the keys, which made it more difficult to control, but I like it! congrats on finishing!
